Actually it is not as uncommon as you might think for girls to be called dude in the US which is why I thought you where talking to me.

Maurice and markmasters are from the Netherlands as well. I have no solid proof of the former, just my memory, but markmasters made it pretty clear in the opening post of this thread.
That makes at least four of us. I wonder if there are more of our people in the far corners of HC.

You're right, I was probably confused because his mother tongue was Dutch and he talked about that a lot. A lot of Belgians' mother tongue is also Dutch though.
