Well, back in Heroes IV Nightmares vs Unicorns was a cool trope, and those were distinguishable enough from each other to make sense.
They can always use the Azure Dragons "Fear" ability, but maybe triggerable (one time use per battle), not rng.
But still, I'd rather see that Chimera from Cathedral make it into the game.

Funny, this thread wasn't rated as a project, hence you couldn't edit it. I've turned the thread to project instead.

What do you think guys about “the balck lake” at the photo below? I'm curious about the line-up of this lake. Is it tar like in H2 or maybe it will be an oil which is used for the flamethrower. Both of this liquid materials exist in H3. Boiling tar as a moat is now existing in Fortress and boiling oil as a moat in Dungeon. So personally for me both are really possible.
For interesting:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pitch_Lake
What do you think that this pitch/ oil lake in demo is only coincidence or maybe it'll be line-up for Factory?
I mean here that tar/oil can be like lava in Inferno. Moat with boiling tar/oil and additionally some mechanical structure placed in pitch/oil lake.
From my perspective town view for Factory with contained elements of tar/oil would look awesome.
I was wondering what kind of unit could be dwelling in tar/oil. Additionally what kind of unit form H4 does not exist in H3. As we know HotA Crew like to restore this kind of units from H4 to H3 e.g. Leprechaun, Satyr, Pirate, Evil Sorceress or even Sea Monster as a Sea Serpent.
In H4 there is a unit called Venom Spawn.
This creature is recruited from dwelling called “Spawning Pit”.
The infrastructure of the pumping machine could be install in tar/oil lake. From my point of view this type of mechanical device would fit into the Factory technology.
I need to admire that this technological process will be supervised by Artificers.
(Dwelling for this unit could be called Tar/Oil Pit or Spawning Tar/Oil Pit).
Body type of Venom Spawn is a little bit like worm but closer to liquid consistence, whenever moves it leaves a trial of sludge on the ground.
This creature could evolve to Venom Tar/Oil Spawn. Body color or some body elements would be much darker. It would leaves a trial of tar/oil on the ground. Additionally I would changed jaw and limbs for more aggressive, closer like on this pictures.

http://bi.gazeta.pl/im/6a/e3/16/z24000106V,Venom.jpg
Venom Tar/Oil Spawn could posses features e.g.
-Vulnerable to Armageddon, Fireball, Inferno /breath attack;
-Immune to Meteor Shower;
-Hates Fire Elementals or Efreeti ...
P.S.
“The Venom Spawn may have been planned to continue to appear throughout the subsequent games in the series, but unfortunately 3DO went bankrupt and was bought out by Ubisoft, who then created their own universe for following Heroes games. So far, the Venom Spawn has been excluded from further appearances”.

While I generally like the idea of new objects for Highlands, I think the Junkman would be more interesting if attributed to grass. After all, Highlands typical castle can build an Artifacts Merchant (like underground and snow), while none of the two towns related to grass can. So, it would at least be more useful there.

To Keep things as original as possible, the way The HotA team has been doing it, I would like to see them add something less overwhelming and more along the original lines of the HoMM series. What do I Mean? Well,
they've added the Artifact Hideous Mask from H2. This was great. And
they've added the neutral creatures Satyr and Leprecaun from H4. This was also nice work.
And since the Cove town is now a part of the game, and it's basically a sea town, I was thinking why not add a neutral creature along with a creature bank such as a Mermaid like one from H4? Instead of casting the Hypnotize spell, as in H4, it could cast Forgetfulness instead.
I'm also one who believes in more improved gameplay (Like what they have been doing) rather than having a bunch of new stuff that just overwhelms the casual player. Getting rid of Bugs and wiping out crashes, and creating smoother gameplay to me, is more important that 20 towns or 159 creatures to choose from.
It's been a long time since I've had the chance to play HoMM3 due to one thing or another, and I found HotA to be refreshing to play. I want to thank the HotA team for creating a top notch product to play. And I don't want to quash the dreamers out there for wanting a bigger and better product. That's good and all. I just want a stable product. And they have delivered up to this point.

the "arrangement" of the game is their priority, but I do not see why not add other cities, neutral creatures, artifacts, objects on the map, etc.
it would be cool to add two new levels in the game, the underwater level with an atlantid type city with mermaids, tritons, seahorses, neptunes, poseidons, kraken, cthulhu, and a level suspended in the air = celestial level with a suspended city in the air with creatures like other genes and other volatile units, such as hot air balloons, flying ships, etc.

Can we talk about Cloak of the Undead King?
Currently this artifact is definitely overpowered. My proposition to make it less powerful is:
- add "+1 zombie and walking dead speed" to Dead Man's Boots
- with basic necromancy, only skeletons are raised
- with advanced necromancy, walking deads are raised
- with expert necromancy, tier 3 undead is raised - either mummies or wights.
Powerstacking wights with Cloack of the Undead King will be better than stacking skeletons without it.
Eg. Killing 1800HP of enemy forces => 100 wights with CoUK => 300-500 damage.
Killing 1800HP of enemy forces => 90 skeletons without CoUK => 90-270 damage.
Alternative is to use mummies:
Killing 1800HP of enemy forces => 60 mummies with CoUK => 180-300 damage.
Mummies can be made to benefit from Straker's specialization.

Sometimes when attacking with dragons or phoenixes, it would be nice to see which units you hit with their breath weapon. Some kinda indicator could be helpful in certain situations.

Will the flamethrowers be melee units or shooters. If shooters, limited-range shooters (max range of x hexes) would be a logical touch.

Just throwing out an idea:
What if powerful damage spells like Armageddon and Implosion and perhaps others had a countdown before it could be cast. Say the enemy casts Armageddon, then you get a message saying for example "Malekith prepares Armageddon, impact in 3 rounds." Next turn same message, but 2 rounds and so on. That way these powerful spells can't be spammed every round and you actually have a use for Protection From X or Anti-Magic, perhaps even Magic Mirror.
Armaggedon could take 3 turns, Implosion 2 and possibly also Chain Lightning, Meteor Shower and (a buffed) Inferno.
I'm not saying the hero won't be able to cast spells for 3 rounds, only that he can't cast the same spell over and over, while he is preparing it.

Throw out this non-fitting flier from factory line-up.
I suggest flying baloon with dwarf in its casket, attacking with spear from it.

I think it would be really neat if we could have more options for the template editor regarding towns.
Having Fort/No Fort is a nice option, but having something like "all creature banks (un)upgraded built" "townhall built" on neutrals towns would be really nice.

How about adding some new neutral level 7 creatures? For example Kraken or a Sea Monster.
There could also be a Chimera, Nightmare and Mermaid, but those should probably be lower level.
(Kraken, Sea Monster and Mermaid would fit perfectly in HotA I think. But I think the mermaids should have Hypnotize then, not fangarms, they are already good enough with their flying, mind spell immunity and unlimited retaliations.)

More then another tier 7 creature what the neutral lineup needs is a mid level flier but I second the idea,

I suggest vertical boarder gates (the colored ones where you need the keymaster tens for). Right now they are only horizontal placable in map editor.

Make Sharpshooters and Enchanters appear when random monster 4 or 6 are selected in the map editor. Also make them appear randomly at refugee camps.
Make a new creature bank, were you fight Grand Elves for Sharpshooters. (Similar to Ivory Towers and Enchanters.)
Make a random level 8 monster for the map editor, this would include any of the 4 uber dragons.
Also enable campaign heroes: Christian (2), General Kendal, Gem (2), Yog (Wizard), Finneas Vilmar, Sandro (2) and Ordwald in map editor and/or create some new heroes.

I've been playing Conquest of H and H Ult Ed and I want to restate my craziest suggestion.
Please, allow for creatures of the month to be legions of high level creatures after the first year. It gets boring to spend a week just moving heroes without a single fight...
