Female hero name problem...
...As I've noticed in H4 the names of the heroes are distributed randomly to their faces. Now, one of the names asigned to the female heroes is "Pula" ...milions of laughs......loooool...That name in romanian language...how should I put this...is the name of the male reproductive organ. And not in academic language, but in the worst street language. Hmm! Not good for the children around here who may want to play Heroes4!

Not only are the names distributed randomly, the biographies (when you play single maps, not scenarios) are also distributed randomly, between all classes. This stinks, in my opinion. As if taking away their specialty wasn't making heroes too similar by itself!
But funny you should mention that, cause in norwegian, "pula" means the actual reproductive act... So, if you were to say "I just f***ed her", you would replace the f-word with "pula" if translating to norwegian.
In addition, there is a hero named Bakrus. This means hangover in Norwegian (I usually skip him)
Play well

My thoughts(Now where's my penny:P)
Each Hero Portrait has a real name and biography assigned to it(e.g. Jeddite, Darkstorm, Emilia Nighthaven, etc.) However, every once and a while, the game will draw upon a random list of names and biographies to randomly distribute among the different Heroes available for hire. I don't like this anymore than you do. Perhaps they'll fix it in an expansion?

Yeah this randomness suks haard. By the way "pula" in Estonia means something like "talking about bullsnow", but this frase not used very often...

What I hate most about it is that in an adventure map tavern you can easly fing ~4-5 heroes with the same Bio.

Ah yes! I forgot to mention that. And what really ticks me off is when you have a hero on the Adv. Map, with the correct name and bio, and then in the tavern a hero with a random name and bio pops up, with the same portrait!

And I forgot to mention that in the 1st campaign my random might hero that I carryovered was Mullich and what do I found in Palaedra at the end? That`s right! Mullich!! ( or an evil Worton following clone of him?) And Itoo have seen the same portrait thing.
P.S. Mabe we should rename this thread to "Hroes recruitment, portraits, Bios, and names bugs."

maybe the creators, just got real lazy and just took alot of foreign words as names, to make things interesting? i agree random is crappy, but if you were a name designer(or something to this effect) wouldn't you be hiding things in them?

Hey, Darkspirit, nice avatar change, this one's actually cool!
Henl: Ja, jeg er norsk. Du og?
And it's one thing to play with names and hide little treats in them, it's another to make up ugly names and randomize their appearance.
Other hero names that mean unsuitable things in norwegian:
Knulle - male (ranger)
Spy - male(thief)
Fekale Brekninger - female (barbarian)
Fitte - female (Druid)
Kukkhue - male (knight)
Pungsvette - male (priest)
Rompis - male (sorcerer)
Jævel - female(necromancer)
Faen - male (death knight)
Morrapuler - male (lord)
Carl I. Hagen - male (necromancer)
Ronke - male (mage)
