Class changing question

If I have a demonologist with maxed death and nature magic skills and pick up a third magic school will it become an archmage when the third school gets maxed ?

I hope not....

Yep. Another problem with the 'advanced classes'. You can't reject a class change. But Archmages aren't bad.

An archmage with death and nature is still able to summon deamons, and they are 20% more efficient magic users.  WHen I switched I didn't notice a decrease in the amount of deamons I could summon.

I think Oldtimer is right...Havevn't tested this out personally, but i read a thread in here somewhere that said you don't loose your class bonuses if you switch classes...so when you switch from demonologist to archmage, you still get the bonus to summoning demons...

bad news then. I had a dark priest, life and death magic to the max. Then I decided to do nature magic too, since I wanted to summon demons and I got an archmage! Byebye life-sucking ability...

losing abilities

I read that you retained your abilities also when you change classes, but NOPE.
In the demonologist case, you still can summon imps, cerberi, etc. but you don't get the bonus. So in effect you summon fewer.

I think it would be very wise to add the ability to reject a class change in the XP.
