Yes and no.
Yes -arrow towers are treated as creatures.
No - because arrow tower mechanics is diffirent. Arrow Towers have 1 HP (left and right) and 2 HP (main tower). And damage calculation is treated as "hit-miss" mechanics. If catapult hit - tower is destroyed (1 HP - 1 HP = 0 HP). If catapult miss - tower is untouched.

Yesterday I had this crazy idea about something that would actually be the absence of matter: a gaping hole, or gaping maw in the ground. The actual creature is obscured or burrowed, but capable of moving around the battlefield like a mole. In that sense, it can move about as if it's a flyer, unimpeded by obstacles, nor triggering traps that it travels by. When it attacks, it might show tentacles and/or a jaw with razorsharp teeth, lashing out against its target. The rim of the hole might be lined with rocks and the like.

I see. So the idea cant be done, even for walls. But, if ballistics are a 'hit-miss', maybe we can affect hit chance on both sides of battle ? Something like give a negative bonus to both side catapults, then give a positive bonus to our catapult to make zero bonus again.

Me feeling its something like "Tremors" movie ? I like very much that worms , but... if the creature stays all the time on hole, how can be hitted ?

Good question. Perhaps the tentacles should remain above ground at any time, then? So those get hit?
And the base version could then have just the gaping maw with tentacles, while the upgrade also features jagged teeth and a salivating tongue .

Macron1, thanks for teh defense. I admit, im really glad about all feedback, all ideas. Im doin the town, cause i like very much all the mod idea.
The Afanc is not a bad ideia, i searched about him and i thought could be, maybe an alternate creature. The images showed look so much a Hydra with one head. The Afanc description denotes something like a beaver-crocodile.
I like the Cockatrice idea. And Peryton. Both are famous mythological creatures, wich fits on heroes theme (elves, dragons, fairies)

The problem i see with Yum Kaax its from Maya Pantheon. Too much different than another creatures.

You're right. VampMarcie code is for older vcmi version (like official 0.99 release). Latest daily builds uses new, sintetized syntax:
Latest daily builds bring so many advantages, so players should update their vcmi version rather than holding backward compatibility.

I notice a bunch of improvements on new releases. Even im not using the lastest one.

I Would rather see some big ass spider at lvl 7 which can spawn small broodlings every turn. Living ruins looks like some lvl 2-3 stone zombies.

Thanks buddy. I know you gonna do good things!
I started modeling everything on the screen, but i saw how much time was taking on each building so some things, like the 3 houses on bottom (tavern, blacksmith, capitol) i downloadaded and changed a little bit to fit my idea to speedup the release.
Releasing a working version, i can improve the graphics and textures one by one. Yet, i need animate the Cockatrice and Peryton. But 0.97 gonna be releases without that
