which of these abilities did i used to have?
1. a sense of smell similar to a dog's
2. the ability to hear the humming of electricity when something gets plugged in
3. a sense of taste that could pick apart specific flavor notes in wine and tobacco, just like a pro
4. acute nightvision, almost like wearing night-vision goggles
5. a sense of touch that could tell when a car was coming if my feet were on the street

1? hardly. my sense of smell is something that's always been pretty weak. certain smells stand out really well for me, though.
2? i still have that ability, so that doesn't count.
3? nope. i couldn't tell you jack snow about wine or tobacco, because i'm a fan of neither.
4? bingo. i never realized how good my night vision was, until in basic training we were pulling a night op(capture the flag/defend the base), and i was able to see the soldiers out in the woods around our perimeter, almost as clear as day, on a cloudy/rainy night(nobody else could). i was even able to see the little lights on their laser-tag vests(for the op, we used m2a2 rifles fitted with laser-tag gear), that was only supposed to be visible via night-vision goggles. i saw their bodies outlined in blue auras, too; no snow.
until i up and got lasik eye surgery, anyway(don't EVER get that snow!!!). i will always regret doing that. now my night vision is average at best; and though i'm working to improve it, i highly doubt it'll ever be as good as it once was.
5? nope. i could tell if anything is coming by sound, though, even an electric car or a bicycle; because i'd hear the rubber tires on the asphalt as it got closer(and the electric hum of the car). not that that's any special ability, really. i just have really good hearing. out of one ear, anyway. the other one was damaged from the sound of gunfire.

1) At washing dishes
2) At folding the blankets with the required (impeccable)precision
3) At staying awake during night guard shifts
4) At target practice
5) At my own specialty ofc
6) At taking apart and cleaning my gun

Of course not kip. I was actually very efficient at cleaning and folding.
No problems staying awake except for a couple times that I was dead tired and I would momentarily fall asleep while walking. It's like my brain got an instant reboot which gave me weird visions like small dark shapes or some item split in two like it was an amoeba. Not the most amusing thing in the dead of the night.
No problems maintaining my gun or doing parade stuff with it(was actually pretty good at it) though I was only passable at my specialty. It was not hard to find coordinates, angles or gunpowder dosage but there were a few things I was never taught properly due to our captain being busy with some solders covering for him. Officers would always favour Cypriots for exercises anyway, they had reason to be on alert and served a lot more than we did so more experience. What, me worry? 
*Drrumroll* I was actually poor at target practice! Being in an artillery unit, we were hardly taught how to use our gun and we almost never had shooting practice. Maybe 5-6 times in all my service? I ended up missing more than half of them while I was on leave heh.
