The "Unholy Word" issue

Hi guys,

I'm currently creating my own mod for HOMM5, but I have to deal with many problems. Here's (probably) the main one :
I want the dark elves to be hit by Unholy word / Curse of the netherworld. As you may know, this spell does damage to Undead, Demonic and Demon raged creatures (Undead, Demons and Orcs).
I first tried to give the Demonic ability to Dark elves and removed the Chain shot ability from the infernal succubus, but then Dark elves were able to use Gating...
So I'm about to give up this spell...

Any idea to help ?

Gating requires a demonlord hero so it should not happen by default at least. You could also make them undead under the pretense that Malassa protects them from dark magic but then they'd be unable to get good morale. And the already weak matchup with necropolis would become weaker with dark elves immune to mass decay, puppet and frenzy.

Gating can be disabled by setting creature xdb field "<SpellPoints2>0</SpellPoints2>" to zero.

Thanks for your answers. Unfortunately, I already knew about what you said : indeed the Undead ability would not fit.
I already set the "SpellPoints2" to 0, however the gating ability still works...

What if you set SpellPoints1 to 0? May be I may have a mistake.

OOOOh actually setting "SpellPoints2" to 0 works, my creatures can't use gating !

So I guess I made some mistakes in the past, and they are now repaired.

I usually refer to this link. But it doesn't tell you about Orcs. I made some tests and, as I remember, Orcs are hit by both Holy word and Unholy word (because half-demons).

The "Undead" and "Demon raged" abilities don't fit because of their many effects.
The "Demonic" ability fit since you remove the "Chain shot" ability from the Infernal succubus (and set the "SpellPoints2" to 0).

So thank you all, my problem is solved !
