Show your favorite religious architecture
My favorite cathedral that I have visited personally is the Cathedral of St. Mary Magdalene in Salt Lake City, Utah. The intensity of the colors is uncommon, at least for churches in the Latin rite tradition:
Some other sites I would like to visit:
Our Lady of Fatima, Portugal
The grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes, France
Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Mexico City
Church of the Holy Sepulchre, Jerusalem
And I wouldn't mind visiting Krakow, where Pope St John Paul II spend a lot of his time as a cardinal. His pontificate is probably the most interesting/fascinating one since the 5th century (with St Leo).
I am going to be completely honest that Our Lady of Lourdes' resemblance to the Disney castle is kind of hilarious:

There are a lot of "glorious" religious architecture all over the world but I don't think any of them would match the impact of Terra-Cotta's literalism when it comes to belief in an after-life:

@Neraus:
The architecture looks influenced by the Byzantine churches with the iconography. I'm assuming that's close to your house?

I don't have a single favorite, given they are all so different. Some for their grandeur, others for their location and feeling of peacefulness. To name a few:
Vietnam – Temples of Angkor
Thailand – Chiang Rai
UAE – Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque
India – Harmandir Sahib
India – Baha'i Temple
Turkey – Sumela Monastery
Egypt – Temple of King Ramsés II
Buthan – Taktsang Palphug Monastery
Sri Lanka – Unawatuna Peace Pagoda
Russia – Novodevichy Convent
Japan – Chureito Pagoda
China – Potala Palace
Slovenia – Church of the Assumption
Norway – Borgund Stave Church
France – Le Mont-Saint-Michel
Myanmar – Temples of Bagan
Czech Republic – Saint Vitus Cathedral
Brazil – Santuário Nacional de Nossa Senhora de Aparecida

Christ's Ressurection church, an art-deco style basilica, in my home city Kaunas
Church of Vytautas The Great(also called Saint Ann's Church), same city. A great example of Lithuanian Gothic style(which is different from regular gothic architecture ofc)
Monastery of Pazaislis, same city. Baroque style. the monastery was funded by the Pac Noble House, some of their family are buried there.

I love the monastery. Baroque has got to be my favorite architecture overall. They really go overboard with the fine detail.

I wouldnt call it “the point” of this thread, thread asks us to join in with religious architecture, now, i I can go post-modern and claim Statue of Liberty is religious, too, since “rights” are as artifical as God’s warth. But it’s not my point. My point is, all of these things are impressive, not only because they needed great craft, but because people were able to pull that craft assuming they served a higher cause. And now, internet, fast connection, and in a blink it turns into a contest of posture. My point is one can build something about this but not with bricks but with data.

Artu this is no contest. As you can see I've put a list of the most interesting (imo) sacrilegious landmarks in my country plus a bonus with a hope that someone might get interested (and brings $$$ to my country, muahaha). What is the point of writing a wall of text about a landmark if your 2-3 clicks out of finding thousands of pages about it? Discussion about it's architectutal style? Ok, but first you gotta start with something and a picture is the best.
Besides a picture is much faster. Someone sees it, sees my annotation and if his interested he digs deeper.
Or do you want me to comment that a Taj temple reminds me of a cookie
PS: If it's about scrolling the page, well if you're that irritated I can change all the pictures into hotlinks, no prob...

I think you miss the baseline shift, there is a contest, a monument is a contest against nature, nature wipes out, when you build, you declare you will not be wiped out. (In the end, nothhing will remain, think like 8 billion years from now, but still, you try to grasp time.)
What I meant was how their grasp, with bricks, have to turn into something else now, with data.

Don't see why you had to explain yourself. Sure enough the point of this topic is not discussing one disagrees on how others should display their idea of what they like about architecture around the world. I like seeing other architecture examples and the best way I think of it is by seeing them. If one is interested in the history behind it, Google serves it.
Now, this is one of the weirdest religious sites I have ever been. One of the branches of Spiritism, altars, eyes, mandalas, pyramid, smoking pipes, notebooks, and very colorful attires.
