Tbf Maurice this topic wasn't going to go far anyway. The most I have gotten out of it is that most people feel that "everything has been said" and "if you're not a modder nothing will ever come of these ideas unless you do them yourself"
Which is fine. However at the literal top of my post I basically say "I am not a modder I don't expect people to work on my ideas for me, I was just sharing them and a bit of my creativity." But it seems the literacy of HC isn't very high.
Anyhow long story short, you can go ahead and delete this thread. I got what I wanted out of it.

lol, you came out as lazy modder - yelling out you're not one doesn't change the fact that once you start or announce a project, you BECOME a modder, thats the definition of one. Not a single pic in your town presentation, so very limited time spent on for strict and minimum information.
People know very well (here) how that ends, either the thread get lost in minutes, or - if fred still alive - it sinks as low class spam, thus it is not about them not liking to read, but judging you in the time of a blink. No effort, no reward.

Well, the thing is, here in the H3 modding subforum standards are higher.
Having at least one frankensteined creature and a townscreen ripped off of Deviantart should suffice to have a better discussion, then mention VCMI, you'll get a legion of volunteers ready to port it, make new assets and even get a shoe polish out of it. (Jk, there are some talented modders working on VCMI)

Why do you say it's poor work, the guy had an idea and he told us about it. Currently I don't think there are any screens to post or concept art to share, it was just ideas and I see nothing wrong with that. Maybe he will work more on those ideas or maybe nothing more will come of it, anyway he shared his ideas and that is totally fine by me.

Oddy, it's nothing personal, or even elitist, snobbish, or a lack of reading comprehension. Initially my reception was the typical "no effort/no realization", as sal mentioned. The only reason members respond that way on this forum, it's like phoenix said: 900,000 out of 1,000,000 posts on hc are about ideas, with only a scant few(comparitively) actually being worked on. From an newer member's aspect, it'll look like we're crapping all over you just posting ideas, but it only appears that way because we've seen the same kind of thing a bazillion times(idea threads/posts). Despite that, they're good ideas. I hope you don't get upset at the reception of ONLY ideas in it's own thread; it's just that we do have higher standards here as modders. It's not a personal slight against you or your ideas. I understand you made your intentions clear, but so did 899,800 other idea posts/threads.

This "project" as you call it literally exists as nothing more than a text file on the corner of my desktop that I look at maybe once a week and add small things to. No where have I said that I was making this. I don't even have the stats for creatures or prices or anything like that. Or visuals because you seem so anal about that.
Everyone calls me a modder. Even though I never said it was a project I worked on, or for that matter had any intention to even start it. I didn't know there was a strict policy regarding new ideas and how to properly post them. Yeesh, had I known this was gonna be the reaction I wouldn't have even bothered.

I'm not complaining about poor reception. I'm complaining about how everyone keeps thinking this is a mod. It's not. It's idea. Nothing more, nothing less. I wanted to know what people thought about them.

I'm not upset. I'm just annoyed at the overall snobbish behaviour that has been displayed by some people. The literal first line of my post is "Just wanted to share the things that I had been working on. I am in no means a modder, just really creative. Feel free to discuss if you want to." So everyone up in arms because there are no pictures or anything or that I shouldn't post ideas unless I have some proof is kinda irksome. Along the same note that unless I am a "modder" I should refrain from posting. I think you guys have way to of standards.
If I had the time and money and resources then yeah, maybe this would become a full scale project. But as it stands now I have no experience and no time to learn. And yeah I would love to maybe make this a reality, but as it stands, probably never gonna happen.
