Oddball, maybe some people react this way because you post it in a modding forum. I don't think there is anything wrong with sharing ideas and discuss them, but in my opinion, this kind of topic belongs more in the Altar of Wishes.

I thought about putting it in the Altar, but I made these ones with HoMM 3 in mind so I thought they would be more fitting in 3.5

Wow is that why some of you are acting like this, because it was posted "in the wrong part of the forum"?
I honestly don't understand some of you guys, everything starts with an idea, but apparently ideas are not ambitious enough, because they are only ideas?...
If it's such a big deal move the topic to the apparently correct place on HC or you could just not care about minor stuff like that.

Dude phoenix you really don't get it, do you? Nobody cares, he can post whatever he wants, then moderator deals if something wrong. We have thousand threads where people put down their wishes, dreams, etc, nothing wrong with that.
But then he blames viewers from the forum of not being "literate" enough to enjoy his scribblings. This kind of action is asking for blunt reviews, so get down from your white horse and let everyone express his one.

Fine let the mods deal with it, if they feel like it then, you don't have to come here just to be negative and complain.
At no point did Oddy state his posts were anything more than ideas, so I kinda understand him, even though he did'nt need to call you illiterate.
Guess I just want this forum to be a positive place, oh well.

Actually I called people illiterate because no one could seem to understand that this wasn't a mod and it was just ideas.
I could care less if people "enjoy" my "scribblings". And honestly Sal, you're the only one who is making a huge deal out of all this. And I welcome blunt reviews, but considering that there are none and the only thing that has been discussed is whether or not this is a mod or if I am a modder and "shame on me for not having any physical proof". I could care less about that snow. All I wanted was to discuss what I already had.

But in reality, i find your name and number in the biker bar's bathroom stall, promising a "good time" to all who call... 
Meanwhile, back in another state, i'm getting run over repeatedly by pro-Trump non-affiliates, completely ruining my Hildog wig and pantsuit.

people in general are somewhat hostile to "idea" threads in WoG section, because ever since Grove and other initial post WoG content that actually got made, we had dozens if not hundreds of half baked town ideas with "concept art" ripped from other IPs at worst and few animated frames of H3 Frankenstein monsters at best, myself being guilty of few.
and this 2006-2008 type of bitterness of "real stuff not ideas" still persists, Sal's troll thread on a total conversion mod idea is clear proof of that.

Yeah. Unfortunately I got to expirence that kind of atttidue first hand. Had I know better I would have refrained from posting it. As it stands now I’ve abandoned this thread.

but these things should be at least welcomed as long as they do not violate HC policies. They are not productive at all, I know best hand, but they do keep the community alive and connected. And in a forum section where mods are being scarcely released, like 1-2 per year, for a game that is 20+ years old, we need that.
