So after some playing and watching creatures in action I have some thoughts about it.
Firstly some creatures are just skins for previous ones(eg. wiwerns/Kuberas). Same stats etc, so like poison is no need here. Second too many creatures have death blow ability, felt like every second unit have it.
Third..was thinking about 5 alternatives and I think you don't rly need so much, you could easy cut some of them and it would be fine (eg lvl 5 from tower or inferno). Maybe two or three alt per faction is enough, maybe.
The amount of neutrals is huge and thats cool so I can fight many diff looking creatures.
Your work is awesome and the mod just need little more polishing, thats why I'm giving some feedback about it from my bro perspective

I dont see a reason to lower the amount of options. Options are options, more is almost always better.

Yes, some creatures i cant attack, Just cast (like the tree thing that cast the bind), and we sure have some redundancy that could be ironed out, but mod is amazing!

Together with Advanced Classes, It's almost the same feeling of awe I had when o first played Wog years and years ago, but a Lot better.

Thanks for playing!! It is a great power for me. You can select the attack type by using number 1 (melee), 2 (shooting), 3 (magic).

Finally no more water walk on my maps with no water^^ and I can travel to underground, cuz I'm using no monoliths mod too. SO if zone is closed that was a problem, not anymore

Weren't a group of these units stolen from someone else's modding project that hadn't been released yet? How has nobody mentioned this? Or are you part of the group working on that mod?

I was aware a couple units had been stolen, but not this many. Am i wrong in my assumptions? Did the original mod come out with these creatures and i missed it somehow?

These are all stolen creatures from various projects, don't worry. There might be some which were borrowed, though.

I'm not saying you did it; i'm not blaming you. Where did you find them?


As I wrote in the body, most of sprites were from https://www.wog.acidcave.net/bank_stworow.html and https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1an21yfqr_qluzAJ19HruQ2zmrL05qu2v .
To make an excuse, I don't know the exact story, other WOG mods use the image of unleased hota or other VCMI, so I thought I could use it as long as I have identified the source. I wrote all credit of them, but if you, as a developer of VCMI towns, do not want to be used, I think I should stop the project.

Look, it's no problem if they're all "stolen". It's not like many WoG project don't do that. Honestly, that's how WoG works, and it can be very hard to make a WoG project without "stolen" graphics. Just saying, there's nothing wrong with reusing all those assets.

I'm not part of the VCMI or any other team; i have worked for a few different projects when asked(sometimes of my own free will), as more of an outside consultant. If the VCMI team(or the authors of the content on those websites that you used content from) don't have a problem with their work on the websites you mentioned, then i would say you have a moral green-light. If not, then i would say no. I can't speak for something i'm not part of; only offer my opinion. Try contacting the creators first and see what they say. It's up to them; don't change anything on my account, i'm not anyone important.

VCMI is open source project and VCMI mods are 'open source' mods. Once released - resources are free for everyone, no need to ask. Giving credits is ok. The same for ERA mods and creatures from creature banks.

The only problem is Kuririn's Dragon. Kuririn doesn't want to use it before his mod will be released (it means 'never'). Rest is free-to-use. So fred79, you've slained good mod because you knocked the stuffing out of author.
