Sorcery specialists are better than heroes specialising in a single offensive spell, like Death Ripple or Frost Ring, but their bonus is not that great.
Perhaps Expert Sorcery could be buffed to 20% or 25% or Sorcery could also affect Cure, Hypnotize, Animate Dead, Resurrection, Sacrifice and Summon X Elemental.
A high level Sorcery specialist with level 4 or 5 spells and elemental orbs can hurt a lot though.

1. I don't know why you cite me but I was thinking about Jebus when I made the comment...
2. Overall, I consider skill specialties more viable then others, be it resources, creatures or spells... So, Sorcery is just a decent specialty when compared to Meteor Shower and Ice Bolt, not against heroes with godly like skill specialties like Logistics or Offense. Since only magic heroes have Sorcery specialty, to compare their efficiency with Armorer or Resistance specialties also includes to compare a magic hero with a might one and by now we all know how that ends...
I did quote you mainly because your post was the last one actually talking about the subject of this thread.
But if you were thinking about Jebus, I don't really follow. Jebus is very fast template, all about tempo, which Sorcery specialists are providing none. Yes, Sorcery specialists could scale better than many of the other heroes, but they begin their jorney from so far behind that they don't really have the time to show any kind of real impact even in the end.
In final battle they could likely have more suitable speciality, but the problem there is that the other heroes have likely outtempoed them at that point, and therefore they have better stats, larger army, higher lvl, more gold etc.

Well, not really better. The fact that the damaging spell specialists have their spells right from the start is big thing going for them. Sando is likely the best Sorcery specialist, but I would never pick him over Aislinn, and Septienna, too, is likely more useful than Sandro could be.
I think Sorcery could even be buffed to 40% on expert. That's really pushing it, as lvl 30 specialist would be dealing double damage, but I cannot imagine them being better than, say, top 10% of heroes we are having now. Would certainly spice things up.

Yeah! That's why I said Shakti's magic arrow would do more damage then Styg's, because she gets the tempo to develop her weaknesses more then a Sorcery specialist can develop his strengths...
