You do not especially associate Poland because there is not much about it in mass culture.
But its first world civilisation.
Human rights and nations rights:
human rights
Yes 1400!!! Poland before Columb.
Citizen basic right.
Neminem captivabimus
Poland 1425! Yes before Columb.
Constitution. Begin of modern parliament.
Nihil novi
Poland 1505!
Freedom of religion:
warsaw confederation
Poland 1573!
And more more!
As you see Poland is a civilization in itself.
Of course its latin civilisation! As you see lingua latina is in all these documents.
But its completly first in West. So you are living now probably in our XVIII century in the West! Rest world is far far far behind West.
But of course now we have in Poland barbarisation. Civ level is relative lower than in 1600... But its our heritage.

We also have traditions in Ecology: https://www.euronews.com/2019/05/24/belovezhskaya-pushcha-the-oldest-nature-reserve-in-europe or: Pieniny National Park was established (along with his counterpart PIENAP in Slovakia) in 1932 as the first national park in Poland and the first in Europe, as the second in the world - international protected area.
And tolerance, here's and excerpt:
The Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, as it was called from the 16th to the late 18th century, was one of the earliest confederate countries in early modern Europe. For a long time, it also boasted a tolerant policy towards different ethnicities and faiths.
This led to a massive influx of Jews fleeing persecution in the countries of Western Europe as early as the late 15th century. Within a short time, Poland became the biggest area of Jewish settlement, a homeland to the blooming Yiddish civilisation of the Ashkenazi Jews.
During the Reformation, Polish tolerance also contributed greatly to the country becoming a safe harbour for members of protestant churches. One of the most illustrious examples of their role was the activity of the so-called Polish Brethren, a protestant church, whose members opposed social privileges and refused military service, becoming one of the earliest pacifist movements in history, impacting, in this respect, later philosophers like John Locke.
Or this:
For many centuries, Poland was the only country in Europe to have its own Muslim population, specifically one that hadn’t resulted from military conquest (as was the case later in the Balkans). Polish, or Lithuanian (as they are also called), Tatars settled in Poland as early as the 14th century.

I've met someone on Discord who behaved as if he was a Polish guy. I was disappointed to find out he wasn't actually Polish, not even living in Europe either.
I heard Poland was the first to create vodka or smt.

That might not be quite right - see Poland. Imo our government does everything to disgust owning a business at every step, and corona only made it worse. We always had unfriendly beaurocracy, unclear regulations and generally it's really hard to start a business here due to overcomplicated procedures. Many businesses needed to close cus government does nothing: tourism, welness and gyms, entertainment etc. .
I guess in all countries the situation is the same. Governments do not seem willing to help businesses. Rather the other way round. But thank God in times of globalization we can do trading of crypto and it doesn't need any localization. You can do it on American servers and nobody will say anything. Just use this tool for security. Because hackers are also global, I am sure.
