Poll Question:
[Poll] Which town would you like to see implemented in HoMM3?
The title of this poll I've made for fun summarizes the question fairly well. I didn't include towns such as Factory since it's already going to be implemented with certainty. You can visit https://heroes3towns.com/? (browser translation can be used if you aren't Russian) as reference for most towns, and HoMM3 wikis as well (like here for Forge).

I Voted Forge first (i like the concept of having mechanical units)
My second place Bastion (beautiful townscreen)
Third place Oasis (somewhat new and unique)

Either a Desert(a mix but neither Oasis nor Bastion) or a M&M8/Neutral town. Hopefully with many of the current "neutral" creatures implemented (Rogue, Nomad, Mummy, Troll and Enchanter) also some of the Might and Magic races and creatures currently not featured: Wasps, Rats/Ratmen, Assassins(female), Dark Elves, Snakemen, Salamander, Terror/Abomination/Venom Spawn etc.

Voted Oasis as the project made by Nephretes was the most promising one outside of HotA and imo the theme generally fits Heroes 3 pretty well. We kinda will be getting a "desert" (or rather "wasteland") town with Factory, but for a game this much influenced by myths and legends, an Egyptian/Persian/Arab inspired town would fit right in.
Second vote would go to Cathedral because I like gothic horror, although the concept lineup was pretty bland (other then Chimera which I adore and still hope to see one day in HotA). But we do have Necropolis plus the inquisition and torture might bring too much grimdarkness into the game...

It's a tough decision between Oasis and Ruins. Love both of them, went with Oasis now. Would like to see Ruins just as much for its originality.

Cathedral is just edgy Castle imo.
Also, should I have added "regardless of any current assets" or something similar in the main post?  (that way, people just vote what town currently looks most advanced, without even knowing how good any other town could be)

Yeah that's actually pretty much on point. But didn't HotA team actually mention somewhere that Cathedral will be their third town (and that they are abandoning the Kromwerk concept)?

There's no actual town concretely planned after Factory. Actually, next to nothing is planned afaIk. And according to one of the devs' posts on Discord df2, it's likely HotA might end after Factory, at least according to automatic translation.

Well, that is not surprising following the recent sad event. But in their other post I think it sounded like they're still pretty much on fence with it.
If it's the end it's understandable: this is not something you can easily cope with, not to mention planning ahead. But I ofc root for the continuation of the project, maybe Romero's participation will lift their spirits?
That said they did plenty and can very well close the project.

Well, Romero had to be invited because of Docent's death (who else to make the theme then?), and the post was made a while after that decision. Anyway, not wanna make this a HotA lamenting thread or smt, no offense.
Edit: You are on HotA Discord? I mean, I've never noticed you, and I think the post was in Russian, separate from announcements (it also wasn't the Paul Romero post).

Voted Oasis. Nephretes town was pretty nice.
I would be sad to see HotA end after Factory, but it is understandable I guess.

Nah, I'm not in the Discord channel. I was referencing to what they post here on HC, but I might've misread this part "Nevertheless, HotA Crew promises that the development of the project will continue. The Factory which Docent had been devoting all his energy to for the last three years will be completed and released in loving memory of our friend and colleague.". It does sound like they are focusing on finishing Factory, but for me "project" refers to HotA in general. I belive Cathedral was in the works since even before Cove, and it might even have some advanced asstets available somewhere at this point. They did however mention that they are focusing on Factory so the latter is an open book.
Ofc I am not pushing for anything here nor do I treat it as a decleration of sorts. This situation is hard to deal with and at this point any decision should be met with understanding.

Ofc, someone versed in 3D graphics could also take the challenge of fulfilling the creation of any of those towns (unlike older ripped versions, etc.).

A solid amount of those are in the towns in the list (Oasis has Snakemen, there's also Courtyard which I didn't put on the list that has Salamanders, Limit with Terrors, etc.).

Probably nothing but forums are made to converse.
Or maybe some of the mod creators, seeing there is some interest, will decide to pick up some halted/abandoned projects.
