Installation:
You must unzip the 4 folders in the root path of the game, replacing the existing ones. Only 1 file will be modified, Mapfilters.xml, which will add the new menus to the editor, you can replace it without fear. Any questions will be answered without problem in the forum or discord.
New Icons:
When you open the editor, it will read the icons located in the "complete" folder and create its own format in /Editor/IconCache. In order to use the new icons of elements already existing in the game, they must be deleted from this folder and reopened the editor. In addition, it will read in some cases text files, translating the name of the icons depending on the game installation. Added replacement icons for monsters and artifacts, to make them more intuitive in the editor. If you do not want to install, delete the corresponding folders in Complete/.

After another very long wait, we have resumed the project with more experience and many ideas. Not only is there in mind to expand the game graphically, but in the future, add a script patcher for maps that so wish, adding new elements to the gameplay. This program has already been started, it is called GEMNOD Patcher and it is the work of @Hottabych. Next I will explain what function it has at its beginning.
GEMNOD 0.3.2 -------------------------------
After a long wait, and many tests, GEMNOD was born, which is the fusion of the first version of GEMOrange, which will add new elements to HeroesV, and ENOD, which will be created by our friend }{0TT@6bI4 , and will consist of the creation of sets of objects and buildings (from GEMOrange and already existing in the game), to be easily used by Mapmakers from the editor menus. Soon we will explain how to create these "blueprints" or constructions for ENOD. I invite you to suggest any ideas for future objects or themes.
This program allows you to transform the map.xdb file into a model ready to be placed on the map. To do this, the map should only contain the model that you want to convert, and it will automatically choose the bottom / left part to start the conversion, creating an effect along with an instant model of each element added to the map. In this version I have added 3 examples of farms and 3 gardens that are ready to be placed, rotated and resized on the maps from the editor. If you want your build to be added in future Gemnod patches, just send it to us and we will create the corresponding link and icon. Soon we will write a manual for its correct use. Two terrains with coordinates have been added, to easily locate the tiles that should add blocking.

In our Discord we have created some channels for the discussion of the creation of maps, where requests to add in future patches will be heard, as well as a section to publish the maps that use Gemnod. Do you need specific models for your maps? Ask for them!
GEM Orange 1.0 -------------------------------
In summary, 4 new types of elements have been added: Containers, Farm crops, Roots for undergrounds and Hedges and trees for gardens. The latter, as with the farms, in modules that fit perfectly to create the designs you want. The giant roots of the underground contain different sizes and holes, to create real mazes with them. 2 new terrains have been added, tiles and clouds, and a new music for the Beach terrain. It will work if the hero is located on this terrain at the start of his turn.
GEM Orange 0.3 -------------------------------
The main theme of Testing the new objects has been related to farms, as I intend to graphically remaster the campaigns in the future, starting with map C1M1. I want to dedicate a priority attention to the creation of new types of subways and alternative versions of buildings for all factions, currently designed mostly for Haven.Random a group of 5 different chests added.
Regarding the 20 news terrains, I have decided for the moment not to add ambient sound effects, for the next version I hope to be able to add them to RMG. There is a new transparent texture (not used before in the game) to create more realistic snow gradients. It must be applied gently, because if the TILE reaches 100% transparency, it will disappear and it will be completely transparent. Slightly applying the lower texture will correct it.
The icons in the "Monsters" tab have been replaced to make them more intuitive, and I will soon do the same with Artifacts and Heroes. Regarding these 3 sections, I would like to be able to collaborate with NCF, NHF and NAF, including all their new elements to the editor.

Why does this inspiring thread not have more comments? I'm a bit used to some original objects like the palm trees but this mod has amazing redesigns.
Does this mod cause conflicts in multiplayer if only one has it?

Obviously, you must have at least the version indicated by the map. Our idea is to publish the maps with the version they were made on discord. Items will not be removed in future versions, so there will never be bugs on older maps. Also to say that the mod was updated more completely yesterday, it had been in "testing" for a long time.
edit:If you meant if having it installed causes multiplayer problems with other maps in general, absolutely not. all the files of this mod are new, there is no replacement. there can be no conflict.

I meant if one has the mod and another does not. Would they be able to connect and only the one who has the mod sees the visuals? Or would they just get an error?

That's what I thought too but last time I played with Elvin I remember there was an error and I had to play with the unmodified game to be able to play with him... I was using GEM Red though so maybe that one is different?

Gemred replaces models, and sometimes changes paths of textures and other files. both players must have the same version of Gemred installed to play correctly. But Gemnod does not replace anything, they are new files. In the future, when making maps with Gemnod, obviously both players should have this mod installed, even to play individually. But having Gemnod installed does not affect maps that do not use it, because it does not replace any files that are needed in multiplayer, only files related to the map editor.
