Italian food is the number 1 staple in the world.
while USSA is at the bottom of it with their deep fried twinkies and rattlsnake bbq and other inedible landwhale fodder.

never had any of that, but i wouldn't knock rattlesnake. gator and frog is snowing good; it stands to reason turtle and rattler would be as well.
also, at least we're not eating dirt and other countries' table scraps, like lithuanians.

Ah, the Khmer Rouge cuisine staple.
@Blob: Fred is big mad I told that yank cheese sucks, which it does. objective facts. and also mad that the tiniest village composed of a chapel and 3 houses has more historic and cultural value than whole of USSA combined.

I'll concede that France is more adventurous than Italy and that French food almost is as good as USA, but Italy doesn't even eat snails or reptiles. There is something seriously wrong with them.
Nutritional value. USA wins. Gator meat has twice as much protein as beef.
Diversity. USA wins.
Quality. USA wins. Most imported olive oil doesn't actually pass the test to be considered extra virgin olive oil. For proper olive oil it is better to buy domestic. If you don't understand what proper olive oil is, it ought to have a twangy, grassy aftertaste that tingles in your throat.

There's northern fish recipes, which I tried and are pretty interesting, they pair fried fish with onions, and well, they also do the classic recipes.
A staple here is eating raw fish with lemon and oil, plus many varieties of pasta and seafood, and let's not forget that we do a lot of deepfried fish.
There are common points both here and the continent regarding the mass consumption of shellfish, pasta with clams or mussels are pretty much a global staple, tho northerners never managed to imitate our way of making mussels.

Dunno about Italy, we have snail farms here in Sicily, don't know if we eat reptiles, but we also eat frogs, so we cover amphibians as well.

I don't know, I never went there. I find it hard to top Mediterranée on that field though.
Italy is part of the best cuisines in the world. France too.
Likely not Germany or the US.

German food is getting better because of the increase of Kebabs and Africans, so there's more than just turds on a plate, but USA already experienced that influx centuries ago, so we already have a lot of delicious food that is well-established in the country.
And we already annexed Italian cuisine in the early 20th century when we got millions of free Italians showing up at port lol. Industry exploded, but so did food. That's part of why food in NYC, Philly, Chicago, etc., is so awesome, but not the only reason. Some of the best Italian food is within a 20 minute drive of Yankee Stadium, in the Bronx.

you're out of your mind if you think monterey jack, pepper jack, or sharp cheddar are bad cheeses, simply because they come from the U.S. what you're forgetting, is that the people who had the intestinal fortitude to brave the open and perilous ocean full of sea monsters, harpies, and other various spooky snow, to find the land of milk and honey, were the hardiest europeans; and they brought their hardiness with them. hence, the cheeses, and other culinary skills they brought with them to make many improved versions of dishes from their ancestor's lands.
Doesn't look like trolling to me non binary biden voter person.
