HOMM3: Legacy of the Silence





Features
- 17 New towns (NO replacement) with full unit line up and heroes.
- 8th level units for each town (including existing towns)
- Including TUM : Existing towns can be upgraded in two stages. New creature banks.
- Including ACM : In addition to the existing ACM, there are 22 advanced classes. (Detail)
- 9 new spells, 2 new skill.
- 9 new war machine.
- 90+ new artifacts including 10+ new artifact set (not combo).
- Guaranteed stable random map play with up to 22 factions with appropriate unit dwellings.
- 70+ whole new unit ability appears.Not a copycat or simple number change.


Not included in beta (to be added later)
- New hero's special ability


English Version Download Link

1. In the existing town selection screen, you can regard that you select the terrain. After starting the game, choose a town.

2. Proper play is not guaranteed except for random maps. In particular, never play existing wog maps or campaigns.

3. As this is a beta version, it is not compatible with other mods. Do not use the mod manager and run it as is. (except XXL mod) Compatibility will be considered later. If possible, please do not change the wog option from the value I set.


I have to give credit to a lot of modders because I made use of so many wog resources. Credit goes to all of them, especially Yuji for making the plugin, Perry, Archer for the coding foundation, Ben Yan, Avatar for the many town designs, Maiko for the third upgrade mod that this mod is based on, and of course the assembly's Daemon and all wog developers.  And member 'Streets' helped artifact translation.




Cathedral





1 lvl. Sleuthhound/ Patrol : Mind spell immunity

2 lvl. Slayer/ Executioner : Ignores 20% of enemy's defense.
Upg: No enemy retaliation.

3 lvl. Witch Hunter/ Evil Hunter : shooting. No melee penalty. No enemy retaliation.
Upg:  close shot.

4 lvl. Couatl/ Bloody Couatl : Flight. Immunity to speed related spells.
Upg: Adds 30% of Damage Taken to Next Attack.

5 lvl. Sexton/ Cantor : Shooting. No melee penalty.
Upg :  Whenever any hero uses a debuff, damage increases by 2.

6 lvl. Templar/ Dark Templar : Immune to armageddon and death ripple.
Upg : Extra Fire Damage on Attack.

7 lvl. Punisher/ Chastener : Teleport. Mind spell immunity. Increases the ATK of all friendly units by 2 whenever attacked.
Upg : double attack

8 lvl. Judgement : Instantly kills enemies with total HP less than 20% of the first when attacking, and immediately acts again when the ability is activated.








Preserve





1 lvl. Halfling/ Hobbit : shooting. Luck is always high.
Upg : Morale is always high.

2 lvl. Tree Lurker/ Cave Leaper
Upg : Retaliation twice.

3 lvl. Wasp/ Hornet
Upg : Chance to Paralysis attack.

4 lvl. Fox Druid/ High Druid : Shooting.
Upg : Cast magic arrow on attack.

5 lvl. Hippogryph/ Grim Hippogryph : Fly.
Upg : When defending, switch to alert mode and immediately act again whenever it is attacked.

6 lvl. Furbolg/ Mystical Furbolg : Unlimited Retaliation. When defending, defense increases by 5 (Upg: 10) for the duration of the battle.

7 lvl. Treant/ Ancient Treant : Shooting. Cast slow while shooting.
Upg : AOE attack.

8 lvl. Druid Lord : Shooting. Can cast random nature spell on attack.





Amethyst





1 lvl. Hulu Leave/ Hulu Flover
Upg : magic resistance aura

2 lvl. Ape/ Wukong : shooting. Recovers a bullet when attacking melee. No melee penalty.
Upg : shooting twice. Recovers 2 bulltes.

3 lvl. Bronze Monk/ Peng Hou : Ignores defense by 20% when attacking.
Upg : Reduce defense by 20% when attacking.

4 lvl. Fighter/ Sword Servant : attack twice.
Upg : Preventive Counterattack.

5 lvl. Girl Snake/ Maikom : poision attack.
Upg : poision attack. acid attack.

6 lvl. Dragon Turtle/ Stone Dragon Turtle : shooting. Level 1-3 spell immunity. No melee penalty.
Upg : Level 1-4 Spell Immunity.

7 lvl. Blue Dragon/ Silver Dragon : Flight. When defending, surrounds allies with holy energy.
Upg : Envelops allies with corrupted energy when attacking.

8 lvl. Omniblade : No enemy retaliation. Can summon sword. When attacking, a sword will attack together.








Death Valley





1 lvl. Bone Hound/ Grave Beast :Undead
Upg : No enemy retaliation.

2 lvl. Skeleton Defender/ Skeleton Guard : Undead
Upg : Death blow.

3 lvl. Mummy/ Plague Mummy : Undead. Chance to cast a curse when attacking.
Upg : Deals damage to nearby enemies when attacking.

4 lvl. Ghost/ Spectre : 33% (Upg : 50%) chance to ignore physical attack.

5 lvl. Necromancer/ High Necromancers : Undead. Shooting. Engraves a death mark on an enemy shot.
Death Mark: When attacked, the attacking unit heals like a vampire.

6 lvl. Reaper/ Grim Reaper : Undead. If an attack annihilates a unit, the corpse is fall into eternal rest.
Upg : The corpse explodes instead of disappearing.

7 lvl. Bone Golem/ Ghost Golem : Undead. Summons a skeleton when hit.
Upg : Summons a random undead unit instead of a skeleton.

8 lvl. Spectral Dragon : Undead. Fly. Adjacent enemies always attack with misfortune.











Forge





1 lvl. Shield Bearer/ Pavise Bearer

2 lvl. Thug/ Mercenary : Penetrating attack.
Upg : Fire magic immunity.

3 lvl. Bionic Trooper/ Cyborg : Non-living.
Can repair non-living allies equal to damage.

4 lvl. Brain Sucker/ Soul Sucker : attack twice.
Upg : No enemy retaliation.

5 lvl. Cannoneer/ Bombardier : Non-living. Shooting. If attacking in the same area as the previous turn, additional damage is dealt.
Upg : Additional attacks deal area damage.

6 lvl. Sky Brawler/ Sky Knight : Non-living. Fly. No enemy retaliation.
Upg : Disable enemy retaliation.

7 lvl. Juggernaut/ Dreadnought : Non-living. Bombard all enemies on the same x-axis as the target.
Upg: includes 1 hex above and below.

8 lvl. Naga Tank : Non-living. Charge bonus. Heals and resurrected when any hero uses a spell. Each time the ability is activated, the damage of the next attack is increased by 10%.








Asylum





1 lvl. Dark Squire/ Dark Guard
Upg : Ignore 50% defense of enemy.

2 lvl. Wind Dancer/ Shadow Dancer : No enemy retaliation.
Upg : Attacks all adjacent enemies.

3 lvl. Shadow Hunter/ Phantom Hunter : Shooting.
Upg : No shooting penalty.

4 lvl. Sorrow Apparition/ Spirit Crusader : Fly. Leave a clone when moving.

5 lvl. Soul Crusader/ Phantom Hunter : Attack twice.
Upg : Preventive counterattack.

6 lvl. Shadowmare/ Sleipnir : 150% damage (Upg: Double damage) when attacking the enemy that attacked Sleipnir most recently

7 lvl. Planeswalker/ Voidwalker : Fly. Leave a clone when moving. When an ally hero casts spell, casts together. (Power: 2, Upg: 3) Clones disappear when casting. Reduces magic resistance of adjacent enemies by 40%.
Upg : Reduces magic resistance of adjacent enemies by 80%.

8 lvl. Chaos Blader : Attacks two additional random enemies when attacking. Counterattack against shooting.










High Land





1 lvl. Defender/ Mountain Guard
Upg : Increases defense by 10 from start of battle until attack

2 lvl. Javeliner/ Harpooner : Shooting
Upg : 50% Chance to slow on shooting.

3 lvl. Brute/ Berserker : Attack twice. Double damage when in Berserk state.
Upg : Control + Click to make itself Berserk.

4 lvl. Falcon/ Blizzard Falcon : 50% penalty for slow units on the map.
Removed penalty for slow units on the map.

5 lvl. Gladiator/ Einherier
Upg : Engrave the rune of fire on attack.
Rune of Fire : causing them to take additional fire AOE damage each time they take damage.

6 lvl. Chieftain/ Patriarch : Shooting. Engrave the rune of lightning on shooting.
Upg : No melee penalty. Duration of rune increased to 2 turns.
Rune of lightning : causing them to take additional lightning damage each time they take damage.

7 lvl. Fafnir/ Demonic Fafnir : Engrave the rune of doom on attack.
Rune of doom : Causing an earthquake to occur when moving.
Rune of doom Upg : Additionally, meteorite to fall when acting.

8 lvl. Sasquatch : Ignore enemy's defense. Counterattack even against non-counterattack attacks.











Tartarus





1 lvl. Quasit/ Fury
Upg : Teleport to the side of the attacker when being shot.

2 lvl. Ice Golem/ Frost Golem : Reduces damage taken from magic by 50%.
Upg : Reduces damage taken from magic by 75%.

3 lvl. Stygain / Glacier Lord : Shooting.
Upg : Can summon ice barrier.

4 lvl. Frost Creeper/ Frost Horror
Upg : Cast forgetfulness on attack.

5 lvl. Gelugon/ Supreme Gelugon : No enemy retaliation. Attack and return.
Upg : It steals the opponent's flying ability for two turns when attacking.

6 lvl. Arachnid/ Crystal Arachnid : Shooting.
Upg : Summons Fury near the shooting target.

7 lvl. Ice Baron/ Beelzebub : Fly. Cast blizzard on attack.
Upg : Can summon a designated enemy to a desired location and attack.

8 lvl. Colossus : Shoot multiple enemies at once.











Pavilion





1 lvl. Wadjet/ Venomous Wadjet : Fly
Upg : Preventive Counterattack.

2 lvl. Whipper/ Overseer : Can attack allies and instead of dealing damage, increases attack but decreases defense.
Upg : Increases speed when attacking allies.

3 lvl. Camel Rider/ Desert Warrior
Upg : Attack twice.

4 lvl. Priestess/ High Priestess : Chance to cast cure when shooting.
Upg : Chance to cast cure and shield when shooting.

5 lvl. Ammut/ Devouring Ammut : Each time it is hit by a Whiper, it will act again.
Upg : Ignore enemy's defense by 40%.

6 lvl. Sphinx/ Sphinx Oracle revents units on the same x-line from shooting.
Upg: includes 1 hex above and below.

7 lvl. Anubis/ Divine Anubis : Carved ankh mark on target. When the marked target is annihilated then it resurrects as a friendly mummy. Mummy has health and damage equal to the total number of existing enemies.

8 lvl. Gynosphinx : Fly. Cast berserk on attack. Double damage when in Berserk state. Control + Click to make itself Berserk.









Cove





Since it is implemented the same as hota, we will omit it.

8 lvl.  Evil Sorceress: No enemy retaliation. Poison and debilitating when attack.




Haven





1 lvl. Wearrat/ Wearat Rager
Upg : Bloodlust when hit.

2 lvl. Diver/ Deep One : 2x speed in swamps.

3 lvl. Bounty Hunter/ Treasure Hunter : Poisoning attack by consuming 6 bullets.
Upg : Paralysis attack by consuming 10 bullets.

4 lvl. Mermaid/ Coral Mermaid : Dispel attack.
Upg : Charm enemy when attacking enemy with less total HP than Mermaid.

5 lvl. Marid/ Marid Sultan : Fly.
Upg : Can cast Water Shield.
Water Shield : Blocks damage equal to number * 10.

6 lvl. Giant Turtle/ Dragon Turtle : Retaliation twice.
Upg : Unlimited retaliation. Attacks twice when counterattacking.

7 lvl. Leviathan/ Imperial Leviathan : Breath attack. Charge attack bonus.
Upg : Casts Berserk on enemies when being attacked.

8 lvl. Sea Dragon : Summons a whirlpool at the designated location with each action.








Charnel





1 lvl. Vermin/ Rotten Vermin
Upg : Chance to poison on attack.

2 lvl. Bat/ Plague Bat : Fly
Upg : Life drain.

3 lvl. Ghoul/ Bloody Ghoul : Undead
Upg : Absorbs vitality from corpses.

Upg : Can cast cure.

2 lvl. Leprechaun/ Forest Leprechaun : Always high luck.
Upg : Luck attack deals 3x damage.

3 lvl. Moon Elk/ Sun Elk : Reduces magic resistance of adjacent enemies by 20%.
Upg : Reduces magic resistance of adjacent enemies by 40%.

4 lvl. Nymph/ Nymph Queen : Fly. Resurrected by cure.
Upg : Air shield.

5 lvl. Sybil/ Enchantress : Shooting. Resurrected by cure. Can cast cure.

Aurora : Can cast wide-area resurrection at a designated location.

8 lvl. Guardian : Gains a shield equal to half the damage taken when attacking. Can transfer the shield to a designated ally without consuming a turn.







Lvl 8 units in existing towns

Diabolos (Inferno) : Casts fire wall on all enemies every 3 turns. the stigmatization of hell upon attack



Mega Dragon (Stronghold) : Wide-area breath attack.



Oracle (Conflux) : Can cast Lightning on enemies within 3 hexes.

Very nice. A way to use VCMI towns in a stable way with everything debugged and integrated would be a great leap forward in H3 modding.

As soon as this is released, HotA is dead as far as I am concerned

Can we have a list of all included new towns?

You can watch the youtube video linked at the end of the OP. It goes through all the towns. From what I see, they change the graphics of original towns a bit + new towns:

Please include the Courtyard - because it'does not have any mod for Era at all. Town is very interesting.

would be need for option of excluding specific towns/factions/creatures
and for appearance on map of some creatures from some factions without a town/faction...

Well, a main thing is also having an english version of the mod though I guess that can wait until it's finished.

Support the Courtyard idea though that would mean to finish the town since some buildings do nothing. (a building could be used to buy camara obscura, siege machine that ages once a random enemy and replaces ballista)

Another thing is that towns such as Bastion came with their own new artifacts, will these be included?

The version in this mod is actually Pavilion, not Bastion : p

Egyptian Bastion in its original form is close to being finished and will be released within its own mod for ERA.

And better forget about Courtyard. Its author doesn't want to see it released on ERA.

oh wow! nicely done!  I noticed the Heroes Orchestra music in the snow castle

Is there a plan to be able to use map editor to place specific castles? The first thing that came to mind was to have a battle royale, and place 22 different castles in a massive map, winner take all! hahaha  But then again, the 8 player option has to be raised to 22, so probably not

i'm also bit unclear on the mechanics of it.
like, say i'm starting a random map, will there be regular+22 choices for towns? or like... how. i'd imagine doing the latter wouldn't be possible for it would require to re-work how selection screens look etc.
