I voted less than 20 hours. I was young played over 112 hours, when I was been very stronger and more feak than today. I can't play more than over 112 hours. How you think so.. Quite godlike player..

20 hours is too big of a starting point... however, I voted more if we consider time spent modding. Doing/editing new images and packing/converting files is time-intensive.

Well, I don't know how one's Heroes session can be one or two hours. Even for offline players 1-2 hours per day is nothing, nada. If you are an infrequent player, please tell us how much time a week you spend when playing actively. I understand that you cannot play all 365 days a year. We are humans after all with many real problems. Plus, I think, you should rest from playing Heroes from time to time unless you actually are resting in Heroes
I'd vote lots (20-49) of hours, but it would be untrue, as I can't enjoy Heroes as much as I did in my 20's, alas Well, I can vote if we include modding, but, you must agree, it's a completely different thing. Yes, you still do enjoy it but I'd rather enjoy playing than modding

Probably around 20-25 hours.
Gotta be honest, some of those voting options are quite strange and you made the poll twice.

You can't delete a poll if someone has already voted. Or I don't know how to do that.
Options are for fun. Actual options are - quit playing/still playing/still young (well, young soul does also count)

I played (finished) MMVI-VIII and fell in love with 6th and 8th (true magic they are indeed). Also I finished MMX twice and played MMI for a month or so, but never managed to finish it. What MM games lack is replayability, while Heroes aren't about plot that much.

MM games are too long and its for one time. Next playing is completly the same. The same situation in H3 would be if you instead thousands maps would have only one giant map. MM games should have RMG. MMI-II are very primitive and only activity is grinding fights with monsters. After few hours you know all options. Next is fighting with monsters x times. So MM678 is the same with a lot of new options. Its more attractive.

Primitive but with a strong exploration side. They succeeded in this department. Many of modern RPG lack that galvanic feeling of mystery and unknown ahead. I played MMI with only my left hand after I had harmed my right one and dropped it because of the local version of Robin Good while crawling through another one dungeon. He took all my money Well, I have a savegame but much time passed since then and to learn again/recall all those things - how to cast spells, where are spots of interest, etc. - is equivalent to starting the game anew. I played without maps and walkthroughs, just my left hand, paper and pencil

Some poeople may play 4-5 hours somedays, but only play 2 days a week. It's not necessary to play every day to play the game. Perhaps only on weekends.

Modding is a gaming too..
Yes playing with pen and paper handmaking maps is another experience. Since I was made my map I remember MMI first map better than MM678 maps :0))) Yes MMI has big climatic atmosphere. But ofcourse is very oldfashion game. Remake is the best solution.

This is only a plus if you are into old gaming atmosphere. You know, people then played MMI exactly like this - paper, pencil, your imagination. Of course, for a second run there would be nice to have digital maps and various other helpers, but, I think, your first time should be as close to "then-experience" as possible. Ready maps are like a cheat for me and destroy much of the fun MMI has to offer.

Yes old style games are climatic. But have a lot of mistakes and failed ideas. Eg. payed saves in tavern only for me its only tired and nothing climating inside. So cancelling all mistakes and adding new content only boost climat. Old graphics is ok! For me best game would be MMI graphics, system, classes minus mistakes plus MM678 ability system classes etc. All woud bee oldfashion style.
