2 beginner questions about HoMM3
Hello, i have 2 beginner questions about HoMM3.
1) Does GOG complete version include all vids in the explansions ? I read online that some complete versions do not include those videos, would be nice to play expansions with the cut scene videos, as originaly intended.
2) I have vague memory of 1 of the expansions from years ago when i played it somewhere but i cant seem to figure out which campaign it was looking at online videos and walkthroughs. What i remember is that when you started, there might have been a time limit, as in, how fast you need to kill someone or do something. And i remember this knight lady, must have been from Castle. And i remember seeing her army after i attacked her and she had like tons and tons and tons of units and i was like whaaaat, how am i supposed to win this and i quit. Catherine seems to be similar but looking online, i actualy play AS Catherine, not go against her. So maybe it was some other knight lady. It was probably first mission but i dont know which campaign of which expansion. All i know is that i played original HoMM3 campaign and this was so much harder than that, so i quit playing. Thinking of giving it a shot again since price is low, but i want to find out the name of the mission first

Welcome to the forum. Regarding your questions:
1. The GOG version includes all the campaign cut scenes. The only video that is missing in the Complete Edition is the intro video from Armageddon’s Blade since the intro video shown in the CE is the one from Restoration of Erathia (there was no new intro video in the second expansion The Shadow of Death). But you can find that on YouTube if you want to watch it.
2. Are you sure that it was a knight and not a Tower hero, or more specific the wizard Aine? Because your description seems to me like the first scenario from the Birth of a Barbarian campaign called On the Run from the expansion The Shadow of Death. And as the name suggests: You are not supposed to fight Aine but to escape from her. The only thing that seems off though is that Aine and Catherine don’t really look alike with the former having blue skin.

Hmm, it could be. i played the first mission and quit, that i remember. I think i met her somewhere in a walled area. I know that when i battled her, i was like, this is completely impossible, how am i supposed to win this. So it would make sense that this was the case if you are not supposed to fight her at all.

If you search for the scenario and campaign name on YouTube, you are going to find some playthroughs, I think. Maybe if you see the map you can verify if it really is that one or not.
