Music announcement - Paul Romero, Cris Velasco and Heroes Orchestra
Today's big accouncement!
https://youtu.be/_7UiZws6vL0
We are happy to announce that the music for Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era will be composed by none other than:
Paul Anthony Romero — the iconic composer of the Might and Magic series, returns to grace us all with his legacy with his new original music for Olden Era;
Cris Velasco — known for his legendary tracks from games such as God of War, Starcraft II, Borderlands, Bloodborne and Mass Effect, Cris will bring his unique vision and power music into the halls of Olden Era;
Mateusz Alberski and Heroes Orchestra — a marvelous team of musicians and long-time fans of the series and its music who have previously worked with Paul Romero on orchestral adaptations of in-game soundtracks. Mateusz and his Heroes Orchestra will be responsible for the beautiful orchestrations of the melodies composed by the Maestros.
We are very proud to be able to bring this team together to create a unique music score that will not only honour the legacy of the series, but also embrace new sounds never heard throughout the games before. All of that combined with the fact that without you — our beloved community — none of this would be possible.
The composer team, together with Heroes Orchestra, will be working closely to deliver a completely unique sound to Olden Era, so you’ll be able to embrace the game in full and hopefully play it again and again.
Music credits: Paul Anthony Romero - Grasslands theme.

At this point they should just hire HotA and DoR teams to work on the game too

Yea, this is great news indeed. The music in the announcement hits the right spot, I hope that's what they'll do in the game.

To be fair, as much as I'd want to give credit to Unfrozen for assembling these amazing people, this is more of a producer decision, in this case Ubisoft. No doubt Unfrozen pushed for it though, and with the help of community feedback it had more sway on them.

You sure about that? I think that Ubisoft has more pressing matters than paying ANY attention or providing ANY more funds to this project. And I recall that Romero was off the table for a long time especially because Ubisoft couldn't pay him his fee.

This is good news, although I'm still skeptical, but it's good to see and hear this. Honestly, Heroes isn't really Heroes without Romero, and Mateusz can also create fantastic things.
I wouldn't worry about Buggysoft, considering the "ultimate" struggles they are currently fighting, especially on the "Japanese front", I think they will soon collapse for good, for which I would add they have done a lot. Honestly, this is what they've always done, the "it'll work out somehow, but not many people will care" attitude towards non-mainstream or non Assassin's Creed projects.
If Unfrozen read this, keep it up, more good decisions need to be made, and even the skepticals will be excitedly waiting for the finished game.
