I have to run and watch the game now, I'll be back with the round 2 games later today.
IRELAND!!! Taught the Germans a lesson!! They got what they deserved for sitting on their @sses in defense for 70 straight minutes.

Wow, lots of surprise in this WC. I doubt anyone here can make the right guess on the matches between US/Portugal and the first match. Except Argentina & Italy, most of the so-called "strong teams" are quite disappointing. Well, I don't want to change my guess on the 2nd round. After defeat by Costa Rica, I got a broken heart........
Hope miracle happens and China can punish the disgusting cheater team - Brazil and restore some justice for the soccer world.....

hey thunderknight!
Disgusting is seeing China playing soccer(football)... thatīs terrible! Brazil didnīt cheat!
It was a mistake of the referee on the penalty and what Rivaldo did ANY player would do. ANY PLAYER!
Now that you noticed that your China isnīt good enough

Yes I agree that Brazil cheated yet China should have gloriously defeated Brazil on that open field of battle.

absolutely...
Furthermore, that bastord Hakan Unsal, would have received a red card even if Rivaldo has faked or not...
SO, no tears...
In Turkey, people blame Rivaldo for the red Unsal received.. blah... He received his red, becuz he is a bastord... grrrr

I think...
Rivaldo's "trick" was pathetic.
He lost his status as "one of the best" in my eyes.
Sweden...
Good job from Sweden taking Nigeria out. Now thumbs up for effort against Argentina and they might continue on tournament...
Paraguay...
OK they may have "too" old goalkeeper...
but they should have good defence and midfield.
And Santa Cruz being on attack I thought they would have played more aggressively and more attack style of play.
But noooo. It seems manager Maldini destroyed their chances with "tie or die" -tactic.
South Africa, Slovenia and Spain didn't play Paraguay out. Paraguay did it all themselves.
Of course they have still chance but they will just play 1-1 draw with Slovenia and are out.

Just finished updating, the field is starting to spread out now. And for the moment myself and Kynes are at the top with 13 points.
I also see that are some discussions going around which is good, just try and keep it at a good level.
As for the games today, i am proud to be swedish. We really showed the nigerians how to play the game Even if i thought that referee kinda sucked we managed to get 3 points out from this game and that was vital for us. Unfortunately another swede removed some of that joy, i am off course talking about Sven Göran Eriksson... thnx to him and he England team we now have to get points from Argentina while they have everything to fight for.
@soth: youre bets until round 2 is no longer valid. Im not calling you a cheater but it says clear in the rules that edited posts after 30th may will not count. Yours is edited today (7th june).
@Archanid, i will look over your points later. Im alitte busy now.

As i said, the rules are still the rules. And as i said the rules clearly states that no editing of posts after 30th may is allowed. And ive never said you cheated, i just pointing out what the rules are. And i have also pointed out what happens if rules arent followed, no matter if its on purpose or not on purpose.

Calm down...
This is just little joyful competition where the prize is...what is the prize?
Glory?
Fame?
NO!
Just sheer pleasure of being right, at least once during your life and some other guy in some other place in this pitiful planet being wrong.
I thought that I could change my result for second round (with new post) because as you can see most of the results have gone down under as there have been lot of surprises. But now...
It just the fun of getting know how much right I was originally about the games. I played it safe for most part not taking really chances and now WC has been full of surprises.
Who saw Argentina today? Not me...or at least not what I thought was Argentina team. They were really really bad.
Maybe Sweden has a chance after all...

Anyone that calls Sweden a suprise obviously doesnt know their record in qualifyers during leadership of Lars/Tommy.
We might be a small country but we have lots of football knowledge here. I am not suprised that we top this group after 2 rounds. Only suprise to me is that England has more or less qualifyed by now. I thought we were going to make 2nd in group behind Argentina. Now we have to make atleast a draw against them later and that will be tough.
But would i be suprised if we made it? no, we have shown our ability against both England and Argentina now. In my opinon we should have won both games and be qualified by now but unfortunately we couldnt kill of our game against the english.
EDIT: didnt notice that post of yours until now soth. And for all i care you can continue counting your own score. I still havent called you a cheater which i thought i told u clear enuf in a IM.
Its as simple as this: there are rules to follow and you didnt. And therefor that post of yours is not counting.
Why do you take this so seriously anyway? im just doing this for fun which im sure most ppl around here do. I made the rules so no one would cheat on each other because that wouldnt make any fun out of this. It would just start fights.
