You just dont need to use leadership. Besides, tatics is a great skill.

the non-undead creatures (ie, cerberus, devil etc.) in the necropolis are still affected by morale, right?, so leadership will still be of some use.

I really only concentrate on Magic skills, so don't bite my head off(like you could), but does Tactics still let you re-arrange troops?

That went out with HoMM3, it no longer works that way in HoMM4. Tactics gives a boost to speed and movement, and so helps you move farther and increases chances for initiative. The secondary skills are nice: Offense and defense give significant boosts to troops. (Even to anti-magic ones like Black Dragons). Leadership is optional (whereas Offense and Defense are needed to increase tactics itself), but gives a nice boost to morale.
I like Tactics for undead, although I don't do much Leadership with that town. The off/def are great for vampires and vampiric done dragons, and help reduce losses.
Do note with Tactics that all these bonuses apply ONLY to friendly creatures, NOT other heroes in the party (or to the hero himself). So with a solid tactics hero, all your creatures usually go first in a given round, before the hero.

i always have a magic hero and a might hero (with combat) in an army cause having two heroes at level 20 is much more useful than one at level 28 or something. cheers.

What the heck is the new thing with saying "cheers"?!! >:-O
I don't mean that I never use might Heroes...just I concentrate on my Magic Hero a lot more, and for them, it's always their Magic skills that I'm improving...

Tatics is surely a good skill for undead. They have just one ranged unit, it's good to have increased movement with the others (exept the devil).

To be honest, I think that more skills are needed period.
I mean, if you wanna be a might hero, you still ultimately have to choose a magic skill.
That is all I have to say on this.
I'm sure this has been brought up before, but one more time shouldn't hurt. Laugh!

What about tactics and pathfinding? Don't tell me that you can get grandmaster in all these skills and so are forced to take a magic skill.

It's not about getting grandmaster at every other skill.
It is the ethics of the issue. 3DO have done all they can to ensure that the might castle is magic free. Yet they don't even provide enough skills for a might hero.
It is extremely contradictary to say that a certain castle is magic free, but then make it so heroes belonging to that particular castle still need a magic skill to fill all their primary skills.
All I'm saying is there should be enough skills so a might hero won't even have to be faced with the possibilty of choosing a magic skill.
It's also about having more choices. You can only do so much with only 9 skills. Even if there are 48 or something different classes...

You must think that when you needs to fill the last skill tab with a magic skill you surely already own other towns with magic guilds. It's difficult to atain grandmaster level in 4 primary skills without have a lot of towns in the game.
