Its funny to see how things change:
In h2 the blackies has: A:14 D:14 Damage:25-50 Hp:300
In h2 the titans has: A:15 D:15 damage:20-30 Hp:300
In h3 the blackies has: A:25 D:25 Damage:40-50 Hp:300
In h3 the titans has: A:24 D:24 damage 40-60 Hp:300
They have just switched the blackies from doing more damage and having less A/D, to having lesser damage and having more A/D.

Titans are better
At least in h3. They can't be blinded but you can bless them, only the Blackies.

I think that Black dragons can even be better than Azures. But it only happens when you have a shooter in your army and have huge spellpower and implo or another devastating spell. That's the Black Dragon's strength. It's one of the not many (If not the only one) that cannon be imploded.

I like Blackies with a magic hero, cause one of my favorite things to do is to run around a scenario with a high-level magic hero and blow everyone up with Armaggedon. If I was planning on fighting, or if I didn't have Armaggedon, I would go with Titans 'cause they're the best archers and I like archers.

I think thereīs no doubt in HOMM2
Black dragons are MUCH MORE better than titans.
Why?
They have both the same speed and the same hitpoints.
The A/D skill of the titans is only 1 point up, but look at the damage!!
Titans = 20-30 (so with bless itīs 30!)
Blackies = 25-50 (without bless itīs at least 25!)
Blackies can attack 2 units at the same time, they can fly over walls, they can block shooters and they are immun to all magic!
Titans have mind spell immunity.....and what more??
......no doubt

as few saw it I guess. archangels sux, titans sux, hydras sux, archdevils sux, ghost drags sux, (dont rush to glare at me ) COMPARED to blacks
what's the probabillity to get black orb?
very small
even if you do, they still have 300 hp
archangels die easilly on a moderate hero ( moderate meaning a lvl10 hero who has some power, to not talk about magic heroes )
same for the other creatures

Not titans, too expensive,
Not archangels, too expensive also,
Not hydras or behemoths, stats too low,
Not archdevils, expensive and low HP
So, it's gotta be 1 of the dragons. Wonder which is it?

Then just be even more sicker, cause BD's are not even amongst the best 3 level7's. Who cares that they have magic immunity? It's a bless and also a curse; and, remember, you can cast only 1 spell a turn. So if you implode my Titans, I have bad news for you. I can cast a spell too.
