Here's another thing...
Bobs without/of Might and Magic... that's too complicated... no one will buy a game like that. Instead, why won't we call it 'Bob'... simple, and catchy!
We also should reduce the number of resources to one.. money, which can be found in the money giving thingies.

Just 'Bob', that sounds simple!
Maybe we don't even need resources at all, because that would mean you could buy/build something, which would complicate things also!
Let's just keep it simple: Bob vs Bob. (<--Hey, that's also a good game name, or does it look too much like an 'old' game )

Two bobs... that's like... a lot of bobs... too complicated... but no resources is cool.
Wait! I've got it! a break through! We don't need creatures at all.. nor we need heroes... just land.. one type of land.. and we watch at it... the name would be... Land... simple

:Slava: Are you a member of the band Midnight Oil? (Which is a great Australian band, btw) They sing about Land al the time!
But how do you win a game, where you just watch?
I think we do need some Bobs in the game, otherwise it would be too tranquil.

: Pleuris: I'm not...
Ok.. I guess Bobs are fine... but the title has to be Bob... otherwise it's too complicated...
But you can win in Lands... it's a multiplayer-only (what a complicated word ).. the one who leaves first loses

So now we have a game-concept of a multi-player Bobland game, which 3do certainly can't create...
hmm, let's think of a name for it:

At least you wouldn't need a shipyard in a Bobtown.
He could just dive in and "Bob" to the other side LMAO!

No shipyard
... how would one build a shipyard with apples?
But apples is a bit tricky as well, because then Bob could eat one and become SuperBob... and we wouldn't want that to happen, would we???
To keep things plain and simple, we shouldn't have any resources at all, because that would mean you can build or buy or eat/drink something, which is way too complicated for our BobLand game...
Maybe some trees and mountains on the map to cheer things up, but that should be about it, I think...

Whenever you get an apple tree, it would be like the gold chest in HOMM's.
WOuld you like to give the apples to bob for food, or turn the tree into an apple?
{Apples}----{Boat}
---{Check box}---
WOuld that complicate the game?
Instead of trading off ideas that run no where, I say we get down with it, and make a fake/serious outline of this simple game.
(Tiz only I, and my opinion)

There might be additional problems for the dutch version of this game: What to do with the Ultimate mug of ale, or any other potion where alcoholics might be an ingredient?
You know Bob isnt allowed to drink and drive (/ride his horse) at the same time.
So from our point of view (yes im from the Netherlands too) the game isnt very realistic.
This might even mean that 3do has to come up with an extremely difficult expansion (perhaps released as a special NL-patch 25654 years after the game has been released):
Bob would become a hero! (there will be only 1 type of hero of course: Bob)
However, hold your breath, we will ADD a unit (the only unit for reasons to keep the overall complexity low): The drunk; like in heroes 3 they cannot go from one place to another without being guided by a hero, in this case our very Bob.
Artifacts like the Ultimate mug of ale would give all drunks +10 morale and Bob -10 morale... (complex i know, but didnt we all wanted those beneficial/harmful artifacts back?)

hmm... That means we have to make Bob a peasant instead of a hero, so he's walking across the map... This also would simplify the game!!!
