Funniest Thread/Post in the Altar
OFFICIAL HC COMPETITION
=======================
Create a funny thread/post about any HoMM 4 feature in the Altar of Wishes. The thread/post should be formulated as a Wish for changes. (This to make it on-topic for the Altar)
Candidates can be posted in this thread. If you post it in another thread, please announce the candidate in this thread.
The winner of this competition will get the title and honour of officially being the "Funniest Thread on the Altar".
(Any submitted posts for this competition will be considered for getting a QP. If you can make the Mods roll around on the floor laughing hysterically, you will be rewarded.)
There's two ways that I can think of to decide a winner. Either Mod Squad makes a poll (The Moderators selecting the candidates, if needed) and leaves it to HC members to vote. Another way is that Mod Squad decided the winner by themselves. You're welcome to voice opinions on which one you'd prefer.
So start coming up with good posts and topics. Remember that a good laugh prolongs life!
If this idea has good response, expect Mod Squad and Admin to arrange similar things in the future.

I think I get it...
Is borts thread "simplify man" alright? I know it was before the compitition, but nothing but humor came out of the thread.
I nomitate Bort for his hillarious idea "Simplify man.."

Bort's thread is a good example of what we want to see.
However, the purpose of the contest is to inspire new funny threads and posts. An attempt to revice the altar with new funny ideas. Come to think of it, Pleuris gold/resource management thread would be a good topic to make some hilarious stuff. Could be really funny, if one wrote a topic on it with that intention in mind.

Who is expected to get the nomination's in? Are you, We, or a dedicated nomination picker doing it?
I think what the situation is so far is people should lighten up a bit. If they know about this competition they may not participate cuz they're thinging to hard about this or that. If we just do it, it'll be done. It will be fun I'm sure.

OK. I believe this is the second nomination.
Incidentally, quite recently there have been a few non-serious threads pop-up in the Altar, so possible some have taken heed to Djive's thread.
Myself, I should like to nominate nidhgrin's thread for a great witty twist on Heroes gameplay.
I think that Saruman agrees with me here.

Why make a joke about stuff in heroes4? the game itself is as much of a joke as a joke can be.
So therefor i am nominating the game heroes4. Unfortunatley this joke hasnt made me laugh much yet, except a few times when i laughed thinking what the game creators must have taken so release a game like this.
Another joke i would like to nominate is all buyers of this game.
Because first of all the game isnt really finished yet, they have been selling a beta version of the game more or less. The "real" heroes4 game is the expansion pack version, that even includes the multiplayer option it seems. Dont get your hopes up too much tho, they might pull another "3DOh" and release multiplayer in expansion after this one. But off course they will promise to release a multipatch in first expansion aswell, otherwise they wouldnt get so many buyers of it.
The 3rd and last joke i would like to nominate is 3DO itself.
I had no problems with 3DO earlier and i wouldnt have had it now either if they hadnt decided to buy up NWC. But i think its quite obvious to everyone now that 3DO will destroy the Heroes series and everything it stands for. About same time they finally release the very very delayed heroes4 they fire most of staff and then they promise to get an working multipatch version of it soon enough. problems that ive alrdy pointed out is that you cant fix a halfmade game and a multipatch with much less of staff within a certain amount of time. And on top of that they are trying to get an expansion pack coming too? Am i the only one that thinks that 3DO would do anything to get some extra money at that time? Because when i learned about Economics one of the most important things was to get your customers happy so they would come back. That was the biggest income for a selling company when i studied it atleast. So in my eyes 3do must have worked out an new outstanding selling strategy (which they are yet to prove) or they are just what i thought they were - a joke.

Considering a certain member's aversions to dumb peasants with swords, I'd guess these posts to be all over the place, no? Any thread in particular you're thinking of? There is a "Archangel or Crusader" thread which I haven't gone through myself.
I need you to be a bit more specific than this when nominating. (And I would like to see more new threads/posts with new jokes.)

the hero worrires and sourcerers are nice, but..
i suspect that one of the main reasons that this thread more or less disappeared into oblivion could be that as soon as unkahaakon opens his mouth, it's far more funny than any normal humans could be expected to be capable of. rms is also nice occasionally.
nevertheless, a statement that deserves at least a honorable mention imho (in thread Questions to Ubisoft):

The thread disappeared because it was locked, which probably saved it from deletion later on. (Since members can't delete threads which are locked.)
The thread creator of the winning thread was/is Incubus.
It's now possible to unlock threads, though I don't plan to do it for this particular thread due to Incubus being banned from the forum.
