New GAME: --> Make D&D characters for your handles! =)
Hi there.
I´m starting a new game, a sort of D&D campaign on the HC. If you want in, it´s time to create your D&D character now 
Rules are easy: In most ways, it´s the same as in Neverwinter Nights, without the most advanced stuff of course. When I dice needs to be thrown, Bjorn190 or a Dungeon Master Class appointed member makes the throw and posts the results
In a way, we all can be Dungeon masters, but in order to limit N00b crazyness and spam, There are 3 levels of decisionmaking.
1. Everyone can add to the storyline.
2. Dungeon Master Class players can spawn monsters that are Dragon class, and treasure and rewards, anything except the most Epic stuff.
3. Bjorn190 can do God events, Fabulous relic treasures, and rewards, and the events created can result in the death of a player character.
This is to ensure a good game, that´s still the sum or all our imagination
there are 6 stats I believe.. Strength, Constitution, Dexterity, Wisdom, Intelligence and Charisma. Max you can put on a stat is 18, the least is 3. For certain classes there are other limits too. And racial bonuses are added when you ahve set all the points. We don´t roll stats like in NWN, but you get 84 points to use on the stats.
Hints: DONT take 3 on any value. Even charisma will help you to decide how well you interact. Beefing up a warr with 18 str 18 dex and 18 cons is gonna cost you on the other stats.. 
You Start out with one magical item, like a +1 sword or shield, or a magic amulet that adds 1 to AC.
For warriors, you get a standard weapon, and if its 1H, you get a shield. Nothing fancy, just regular stuff. You also get a full leather armour.
For mages, you get a robe, and a staff, and a spellbook with all level 1 spells. Each time you gain access to a new spell level, you get 4 spells of choice for that level. The rest you have to find through finding scrolls.
You start out with 100 gold coins.
The rules for battle are complicated, but warrs have to select weapon proficiances, and upgrade them as they level up. 1H swords, 2H words, 1H blunt, 2H blunt, Bows, Crossbows&slings, and Piercing weapons
Remember, this isnt pure D&D, its less complicated, and modified to be fast and easy 
Ok thats it for now I guess.. if u wanna create a character, it has to have the same name as your HC nick and be added to this thread before the campaign starts. If you create it after the campaing starts, you will fall behind some and not be as powerful from the start as the original pre-campaing characters.
Now go create!

I took for my special item a shield +1, and for 100 gp I bought myself a simple short sword, some food rations, backpack, sleeping bag and a mandolin to entertain my fellow adventurists...
This isn't good...we start to good, decrease the number of stat points...it would be more fun...I don't see any harm if you roll the dice for all our stats...
[EDIT] Add some more info and changed some stats..

I am Athimus Phaeni(the underline is needed?), wizard from the frozen lands of north, seeking the ancient knowledge of my people who was practically destroyed some generations ago by the barbarians...

Long Gray/Silver hair, incredible light blue eyes(looks like ice). If aligment is need so I will be neutral(i am a bit indecise so i will choose neutral, it is easier). Race is needed too? If it is I am a half-elf.
Wearing a black cloak, a black cape, and black boots. Has a Staff(Ice Staff if it is possible) and my Grimorium. Backpack: Food and camping material(tent, matches...) and the rest of the money.
@bjorn190: I havent played Neverwinter Nights, so I dont know exactly what you mean when you say NWN rules, but I am pretty sure that it look like AD&D 2nd Edition.

well here's a comment and an answer for ap
AP it's 3rd edition d&d. pretty similar, but some of the rules change, so you should be able to keep up
Now personally bjorn if I was going to run this I would do so through a chat site or something. On a forum like this too much will be missed by people, there will be too much going on, the party will be not online at the same time etc. If you want my op. I'd post invitations here, and the news and updates, but run the game on a chat board. That way everyone could be online at the same time if arranged right and the game would be less of a hassle to keep track of.
Having said that the party seems to need a fighter so.........

Wearing leather armour, carrying Greatsword +1(or equivalent if 2nd edition) and usual equipment (food, rope etc)

Been ages since I played D&D... Hope this one will go well.
Ok... I would have realy liked to change my char name coz IYY are just my initials and it's a crappy name for a char: but if it has to be so then I am Ilus Yin-Yak the warrior.
I am neutral-good: sworn at the age of 6 to protect the weak and battle evil in any land. I carry a kite shield and wear a medalion - both carry the following symbol on them:
The colour of my eyes is brown. I have long, brown hair - sometimes tied back in a pony tail. I wear a long cloak, boots and gloves - all of them are black. My weapon is a shortsword (1d6, I believe?).

I am Bjorn190, a Human cleric, with Blond Short hair 5"7 tall, and pretty goodlooking. Nobody really knows where I come from, but some say I´m a healer from the north, who left my lands because of a tragedy long ago.
Since I´m from the rugged north, I am both a fighting and healing cleric, ready to battle my foes and assist my friends, and this shows in my somewhat warrior-geared stats. I threw in the 13 charisma cause Im kinda cute
Also, I worship the Air deity and the healing deity, giving me access to extra air spells, like chain lightning, and 50% better heals

Well as I wrote earlier this is just sort of based on the NWN version of D&D but all the rules don´t apply. Mostly it will be about us and our adventures here, with the aid of the NWN system. So all we gotta do now is make our chars, and then we can start the adventure
For info on classes, spells, etc, you can go to http://www.gamebanshee.com/neverwinternights/classes.php
And if the party isnt online, the actions of your chars will be based on (AI control + past actions + alignment + random factor)/4
And Nebuka, we don´t start out too good, it´s all relative. Besides, the ones that don´t create chars until we have started, will only get 75 points We are, after all, the original pre-campaign character party
Also, clerics should choose 2 deities to get their bonuses. There is a list at http://nwvault.ign.com/thegame/classes/clericShade.shtml if u wanna have a look see
Wizards need to pick a familiar. And if you wanna buy something with your 100 gold, now is a good time to do it before we leave town 
And Hudson and IYZ, you only have 80 points to stats, you could add 4 more to get the 84 from start if you want to..

Hi all...
I'm raZor_X, an experienced arcane spellcaster, which means, I'm a Sorcerer (there is no class like Warlock right?) fighting the evil to put an end on it, I fight for what I believe it is right...
I look like my avatar, brown eyes, gothic beard, dressed in a brown robe and wear a +1 to AC amulet. I have a brown staff as well...
My alignment is: Chaotic good (wich combines a good heart with free spirit)...
