I believe the sentence, when punctuation and implied words are added is as follows:
And I would also like a McChicken sandwich. Please include tomato slices on my sandwich, but I would like it with no lettuce.

Is it just me, or is this extremely ironic?
OT's thread about the right to go off-topic is, in fact, practically obliterated by, you got it, offtopic posts!

I don't understand why Conn's view on moderating the Library should be discussed in the tavern. I respect your opinion Oldtimer, but why didn't you post this in the Library where this discussion belongs? Every moderator has his/her own ways of doing things on their own board, but the tavern isn't moderated by Conn. And just if any of you should wonder about how I wish to moderate on the Lands... Here it is, feel free to disagree with it if you like (preferrably in the Lands of Axeoth). If your opinion is well founded, I may change my way of modding the Lands.
Moderation of the Lands of Axeoth.
- Severe Code of conduct breaches will be penalized.
- In the case of borderline CoC breaches, I will contact the poster and ask him/her to edit or remove the post. If they choose not to answer my IM, they will be penalized. If they respond but object with my question, the post will either be deleted, edited or remain unchanged - dependant on the circumstances. No penalties will be given in this case.
- Threads with answered questions that do not provide possibilities for further discussion will be locked, added to the questions and answers thread and deleted within one week (if I find the time ).
- Topics that sink down to page 3 and are still unanswered or have but 2-3 replies will either be revived or deleted.
- Obsolete topics will be rated average, announced in the 'monthly threads review (october)' and will be removed during the next big cleanup unless people that posted in the thread object.
- Spam posts will be killed without notice and posters of spam threads will receive a warning and the spam threads will be deleted.
- Excellent strategy posts may be rewarded with quality points. At the end of the trimester, people who have greatly helped to improve the Lands by helping out newbies, making indexes, posting news about patches/expansions, ... will also be rewarded for their much appreciated work during the last four months.
- People can always contact me with questions or problems, be it in the Lands of Axeoth and about Heroes 4, or about the other forums or heroes versions. Preferrably by using IM, but by email is okay too if you consider the matter to be urgent.
I've just received a phonecall with excellent news. From 21 november on, I will have a broadband internet connection at home, allowing me to be more online during the evening and to be more available for moderating and cleaning up in the Lands. (I will also be able to get to the number of heroes 3/4 challenges I have running with some of you, so the waiting is finally over )

and i think exactly thats why he posted it here cause conn is NO mod here. i critisized conns rule posting and he deleted my post. it didnt include any direct insult not even close. was just a state of my opinion. its a shame that a mod is not able to take critizism like a man and has to abuse his power and delete such posts without a comment

The thing that really ticked me off was the arbitrary nature of imposing new rules. Some of the rules have a basis in the Code of Conduct, but others seem to say that you can only post in a way acceptable to the mods. I believe that the Code of Conduct states all the rules of the Heroes Community. I don't think that mods were implicitly or explicitly give the ability to change rules or add rules to their forum.
And I wanted more people to see this because I believe that this is a community issue not a homm issue.

@Oldtimer: Moderators are humans and will apply the CoC in their own way because the CoC is not very specific on several points. I don't think that's ever going to change since the CoC is but a few lines long, that's simply not enough to work with. But feel free to comment on the rules I stated above. The only thing I consider to be unacceptable at the Lands are direct and personal insults and spam. For the rest you're free.
Looking at the number of replies you got to this thread I must admit that you're right. I agree, there seemed to be a need for this thread, I haven't been here during the last two days and wasn't fully aware of the situation. Please continue and don't mind my dashing into this thread.
@Motorschaaf: Another challenge, hehe. Sure why not, I'm ready to lose a good heroes 3 game against you in the zone anytime when I have my broadband connection.

I have not seen Conn in a long time.
COme on theres responsibilities & this is your time since Hexa is sleeping.
You know what you gotten into & becoming a Mod means you have to deal with critisism & face up to it.
Be a man for crying out loud & dont run & hide & just face up & support yourself because I think running from a problem is totally bogues & thats what you are doing?

So if there wasn't enough unwarranted tention already, another mod decided to declare war against a group of posters.
"My veiw of the situation is:
1,) Rules are not being followed, and sever action needs to be taken!!!
2,) What is good for the goose is good for the gander, I don't think it is fair to punish one group of people, who toss and play, and not the other group who do the same and spam on top of it.
3,) Mods need to put there foot down more, and not let things just slide by. It is to the point to where I have slacked off on posting and even deleting or closing threads that need to be because everytime I do I feel like I have done something wrong. I am trying to make The Tavern a friendly place for new people, and it just seems like the more i try the more headache i get by doing so.
Just my view tho i could be wrong"
1. Severeve action needs to be taken? Why? What right do you have to decide if SEVERE ACTION need to be taken. Mods should not be censors of content.
2. So you have decide to declare war on a subset of HC posters? That seems a little biased.
3. Mods need to put there foot down less! I remember the good old days when you didn't really know who the mods were because they didn't decide to impose their will on the people who come here for a little fun. This is the Tavern, a place to goof off and joke or spam or toss or whatever you want to call it. I guess if your goal is to alienate and piss off the people who come here so that less people (or just people who share your views) come here this is a good way to do it. That would make the Tavern a happy little place of no controversy.
I always wondered what went on in the Mod forum but appearantly it involves ways to stick your head up your butt, if the last couple of days are any indication.
