How to win the game in H3 and H4 !

The major thing that you must do in H3 to win is very easy- you must get dimension door.
I know that some of you might not agree with me and tell that there is no sure thing that can insure  you victory , but in about 80% of time if you get DD before your oponent,you will win - 100%.
Im not saying that you must do everything and submit all of your moves to finding and learning DD - but if you get it first, victory is near.Never mind the oponents stronger forces and better artifacts,DD gives you tactical and strategic adventage that will surely help you win the game.

The major thing that you must do in H4 to win ?
Dont know. Someone else?

Well. Sure! DD is powerful, and if you get it you'll have a great advantages.
However getting the DD is a whole other thing. Especially on randoms. Most random games end up with no player with DD..........

WOW now thats a expert hint! the next guy will tell us that you need to get implosion and 50 power...bwahahaha.

i got a good hint: you need to take piquedram and make sure he gets eagle eye, you hit and run your opponent with your gargoyles and when he needs to cast resurrection coz your gargs almost killed him you learn it - than you come with the rest of your stuff and voilá....

I was just trying to say that DD is a sure way to victory-and relatively easy to acomplish.How many time did you win when you had DD? I bet allmost every time.And allmost every time when your oponent had it and you not, Im sure you have cried like a baby.

Ok, seriously.
DD is powerful, but I think that another thing that's even more powerful (and possible to get on randoms) is the cartographer. Can't remember i've lost with it, neither won against it. (maybe why many ban it (many ban the DD too))

I believe that if you ban DD, carto.....then there is no way to get a sure win in h3 (except armageddon of course ) Every player have different strategies with differen weaknesses and strenghts. When I first started playing online, I got surprised when I was crushed by a player with a might hero.....at that time I thought magic heroes was far supreme to might.....

In my opinion Might is better than magic because might hero can become very good spellcaster easely when magic hero cant be very good fighter. For example , Crag Hack-can become good spellcaster with a little  help of some artifacts- his skill and speciality offense never becomes useless.Solymyr , on the other hand , can become good fighter with some artifacts- but his speciality becomes crap if you got artifact to repres lightning and chain lightning-even if you dont have it chain lightning on the later date dont mean that much.
Conclusion: Offense can never be represed by any way (or any other might skill) , when magic skills can become useless with posesions of only one artifact.

In H4, the secret to the game is simple:  play death.  Take the imps, the ghosts, and the vampires, have a fast army, get a necromancer and a death knight, and you're good to go.  (Credit to Wub for defining this strategy and debating me on it until I was convinced.) I've never lost this way (unless my opponent was also playing death).  In fact, it's so easy to win with this strategy that the game gets boring quickly.

Poor game balance!

Personally i wouldnt know if thats a good thing though, if you havent been able to kill your opponent(s) during the time it took you to get that horde of efreets (which you can gain really fast at a random with diplo allowed) and that powerful armageddon i wouldnt concider it something to be that proud of...but hey, i wouldnt be suprised if its a record

My advice.....Don't use Soly.
There are other better tower heroes (like neela)
There are more magicians than just Solmyr u know I personally use Malekith a lot, his special will never be useless. And by the way, Yes, might heroes can become decent magicians, but magicians can become good fighters too.....very good fighters.....

DD infact can be very usefull, no matter what they say.
You can cast it 4 times a day on GM level.
If your in a bind where you could get yourself out if you just had those creatures that are in town.. All you need is DD to get out of that.
If your opponent is trying to run to his town for his strength, you dont have to let him get there.

It's not the mystical key to the game, but it give's a major tactical bonus (almost cheat) that can really tip the scales in a balanced game.

What about Fly?  With DD you can only go through walls, but Fly lets you steal artifacts right under wandering monsters noses!  I got Angel Wings once and stole the artifact that gives you all water spells, despite the fact that it was guarded by Lots of Demons!  Fly is better, esp. with exp. Logistics and exp. air magic.

Expert Town Portal kicks @$$.

I try to get Earth and Air magic, and maybe Water magic.
With Fly, DD, and TP you can cross almost an entire map in one or two turns. You don't need to chain for creatures.

Offense or Armorer are pretty good specialties though. Logistics too. I like getting a Logistics hero, giving him Boots and Gloves, getting him Pathfinding, then watching him tromp around all over the map.

it depends,

on most TOH maps DD and Fly are disabled by the mapmakers and it makes sence. On randoms it's up to the players to decide if they want them or not. Some play with no DD/Fly scrols, but can learn them in guild.

I have to agree that DD is a killer spell between equally skilled players. I still remeber a clan war game where I was fortress vs necro + diplo on random L and I won only because I found a DD scrol.
