NATO expansion !!!
At last ! Today at 12:00 our country and few others were invited to join NATO in the battle against terrorism. It's very good news. Lithuania now can not fear madmans from Belarussia and from other countries.
Also, today president G.Bush will arrive in Vilnius (first president of USA ever in Lithuania) and will give a speach for our people in the main square.
Is there any news about it from USA or other countries ?
Please tell me ! I'm curious...

The world will be a better place when we can change the UN into a NATO like organization. Maybe even a worldwide currency is in the future. That could be the way to insure we dont destroy mankind with some stupid act.
And yes, if you want him you can keep him
I welcome the new NATO countries!

Add another happy memebr to your list, bort...though my reasons are somewhat different...Because of his coming( oh, btw, did i mentio it's a 4 hours visit? LOL) everyone( read: local authorities, mayor, etc) is franic about cleaning the town, and making it nice....after years of saying "we don't have enough money", suddenly, money seem to have been teleported from somewhere....so, now, the city looks clean, freshly painted, new trees planted where there was only dirt, etc.....
Now tell me, how cani not be happy?
Edit:
Now, i wouldn't exzactly like to have him here ALL the time, but do you think you could arrange for him to visit romania every other month or so?

Indeed Conn hehe... And i also liked the blue umbrellas they spread all over in the crowd (seen the rehersal at Carcotashi
this all nato enlagement stuff is a big "mess". So what if GB comes in romania. From my POV he's a real stupid (dont want to say worse and i dont give 2 pennies on his words. This whole GB visit here in romania is another opportunity for the streets to look like as if they were at the circus. its not in the habit of romanians to do such "ceremonies" with flags, nato umbrellas and stuff. it's just politicians ass-kissing nato officials and this is what i hate about them, lackin dignity and all.

Kinda, I don't support wars where diplomacy or other means can produce an equal result for less unnessecary deaths.
And that country next to you is exactly why you want in nato surely? Who the hell's gonna invade you if the whole of Nato suddenly jump in on your side!
