Secondary skills?

After winning a battle sometimes  you get to choose a secondary skill . Is there a way to cancel it  if  you dont wont either of the choices given to you? Or do you have to just take what it offers  you? The "Esc" key doesnt do it.

It depends. If you play on a big map and have a chance of your scouts bringing you useful spells - go for scholar. If you have a chance of learning a useful spell from the opponent in battle - pick EEye.

Ofcourse if you have a chance go for anything else (unless navigation on a dry map is the alternative).

Sighs

Eagle Eye is NEVER a good option in Multi Player maps.
Scolar can be very helpfull to get that 4th level hero (Soly, Deemer etc) to give that nice speel to your main.

Hexa is wrong.

Eagle eye rules.

By this skill you dont have to build mage guilds.

SO that you can have more resources and turns to build capitol

Hmm, I´ve had a game with Vex recently where my main learned "Anti-Magic" through Eagly Eye skill. And this made my Archangels immune to his Tome of Earth magic.

Eagle Eye rules!

I choose Eagle Eye rarely, unless there's really no choice. Though it once brought me a meteor shower spell.

ya ive heard stories about ppl learning chain light from solmyr with their main and solmyr works as scout...then has won main battle because of chain light spell lol. But no, i wouldnt pick it...unless getting offered navigation. Thats prolly the only time i would pick it too lol.

Things that kinda pisses me off tho is when playing Hack/Taz and first you get offered crap 2nd skill so you make their offense/armorer expert...then you get offered even worse skills. Because even if you have to take it you will still have the choice between upgrading this 2nd skill and another one next lvl up and so on. Taking it when high lvl isnt as bad, because then you hopefully got all the important skills at expert lvl alrdy. But offered early in game this could for example be difference of expert/advanced air magic...which kinda means alot to both hack/tazar if playing native towns =)

hummm... yes, i belive meteor shower is a very useful spell, but why wouldnt you take navigation as a skill? it always is useful to me, if there is water on the map...

And I never ever pick navigation as going into water is pointless in many games and even if I do, I rarely travel distances big enough for nav to make a difference.
