Problem with winning games...suicidal computers
Well, I hit this in the Order campaign and asked about it in conjunction with that, but everyones ignoring...since I have now seen it other place to, I ask here on its own.
I have had problems where a computer player dies fighting a group of wandering monsters. This wipes out that color, as I already have their castles. However, I never get a message that that color was eliminated. The color no longer gets a turn, but I can never actually win, even after wiping out everything else!
Has anyone else had this problem?

No, I've never encountered such a bug. Maybe you have to patch your HoMM4?
P.S.A brilliant signature!

Well, I've got all the latest patches. Its only happened twice, though it was quite annoying both times.

The signature might be, but the attack sure wasn't!
However, I absolutely ensured that no other player would be taking that mine! Not with over a thousand goblin ghosts gaurding it...

I'm playing the Order campaign right now, on the second map and so far no problems like that.
However, I know in the Chaos campaign, a similar thing happened to me. I cleaned out a colour of all their towns and then many, many turns later I get the message that the colour has been eliminated without me having to do anything. So I figured this was a wandering monster hit cause it couldn't be anything else. I did not have any problems with finishing that map though.
What Order map are you on right now? It could be a map bug.

(I just put this same post in my Order Campaign problem thread, so I apologize if you are reading this twice, but I really need advice!)
AAAGHH!!! Now this has gotten really annoying.
We are on the last Order campaign, where you need to defeat Gavin Magnus.
We captured all the towns and discovered that Gavin is a prisoner of one of teal allied towns!
We were able to go back to an autosave where there is one last Blue hero and are trying to herd her to the castle where Gavin is imprisoned so she will free him and we can whack him...please, does anyone know a better way of winning the game than this? This is really obnoxious!

Actually, that sounds like a decent plan, considering the circumstances. If you can clear out the Teal garrison to make sure the AI will go for the town, that would help (not sure if that works under H4 allies system). Also, make sure there aren't any handy random monster stacks within reach, because Gavin will try to suicide on those rather than face your big army. Unfortunately, this is a bug, a side-effect of the idiot AI, and there isn't a patch or anything for it. Good luck.

Magnus Problem
I had a similar problem with Magnus. He would attack one of my castles and lose, thus ending the campaign. My solution was to empty the castle and let him in. Two turns later my main army took him out for the win.
