Redefine the instrucions manual (Homm4)

Hi, I lost my manual. I have a few questions, and a proposition to a mod here..

Please give the most understood variation of the following awnsers, a QP.
Please flood QPs into this thread, for the best, and quality input.
I'll actually be using the information put out, so if I could help you judge, it would be applicable.
It is so that they are motivated to redefine for me, but primarily, I need this compialation.
There will be a few out of book questions too, and their skill would be tested aswell.
Things I need to know

*When heroes change class- What are prequisits, and bonuses?

*What are the differences between towns?
enter in growth tree,
resource cost
ect

*What is unique about each creature..
(Example)
Crusader.
Skills-2 attacks, and death ward (mabey define each creature skill here, or in another portion of the post)
Damage-10-16
Mele attack-22
Melee defence-23
Speed-7
HP-65
Ranged attack- NA
Ranged defense-23
Movement-(0) 24
Growth
It is up to you to make the most understandable/compacted format of this, and is time consuming. If you cant enter this part, dont.. Just worry about the others.

* Each hero skill.
Define, and elaborate statistics.
Example..
GM tactis- +5/+3 speed/movement
GM Offence- 50% offence
Advanced natures preq-had Basic herbalism in it..

*Spells.

Out of book questions (i think)

* Is there more penalty with quick combat, other than risking it?
*Movement land modifications.
*When right clicking places a hero has visited, dose the message "youve visited this already" apply to every hero in that particular army??
*If you achive a new skill, and try to revisit a place to *upgrade* that skill, is the code set, that the hero already viseted it? Even though the hero didn't benifit from it
*With new classes, which are the ones that can still be obtained??
My crusader (tactics, and life magic) just upgraded combat! I had the message which let me know I was now a paladin. But the stat sheet, says I'm a crusader.

*How is the ranking level defined?
How many points are given to which aspect?
Basicly.. You get points at the end of senarios. How much time taken, best hero, # of artifacts, army strength, resources, ect..
How do those determine points?

*How are the amount of exp pts given, determined?

*

ect.. think, be creative, and please indulge me, and your fellows who are interested.


I know this seems difficult, but I want to have required information, to disect this game.

Most advanced classes are based on two skill groups.
The Witch King is based on three, and archmage on all five magic skill groups.
If you have many skills in the groups of a certain advanced class, you will become that advanced class. You don't need all five magics to become archmage, three well developed schools is enough. But all five schools can help.

And when? For each adv.class the weight is determined: the number of skills you have that apply to that adv.class, minus 1. For archmage, it is minus 3. If the weight of your current class is outweighed by another, you will change.
If it's equal, you will stay what you are now.

AI will play for you, and AI is bad!! He will waste many of your troops! I hardly ever do it.

I think it does.

You can revisit a place and it will still work. Each hero can use each place once.

Combat is a skill group also, and combat + life magic = paladdin. As soon as you have more combat than tactics, you will change class.

Well, your most helpful input was with character classes =)
Very good, however it brings another question I will have to know in the future.

Saw, I'm a crusader with GM tactics, and life magic.
If I then, become GM in combat, would I remain a crusader, or become a paladin?


(this in itself should tell 3do to redo this system, why not recive the title of choice, and have both/all benifits, or atleast choose a primary benifit& recive penalties to the secondary benifits)

And I found.

~Learning stone (mouse paused) Message "visited"!!!
~Seperated hero from force. Message "Learning stone"
~I then reunited the hero, and proceeded to the learning stone. She did infact recive her experience.
I feel things like this sometimes did not give the benifit!

I'm still testing other things, but if anyone with map editor feels desire, please do so =)

And continue with awnsers please!
It dosn't take much to disect this game, and this manual will surely grant that.

Between H3trio and Portals of Might and Magic, you can find pretty much all the manual stuff plus some.  In particular, you can get all the creature, creature dwelling, and skill info.  Portals has Spell info as well.

Town costs:
Quite frankly, I don't think that this is all that useful.  The dwellings' either/or situation messes up the neat "this town needs lots of this resource" thing from Heroes III.  The wisdom of building this, that, or the other depends on the specific situation and what else you've built/are planning to build.  Since I did compile the figures before realizing this, however, I can post them for you if you really want them.    Not sure how to format that, though.

There are already tables out there for the scoring system (no url on hand, but I've seen 'em floating around), experience points given (http://www.mmportals.com/h4/h4strats1.html), etc.

Finally, some actual information! (rather than just yelling at you for not doing your homework ) Here's the Experience per Level chart:

Quick combat can actually be helpful sometimes. Notice, QUICK combat, NOT AUTO combat. Quick combat carries out the battle CALCULATIONS based on the strength of two armies, it doesn't actually perform it. I can't explain it more clearly than by saying that once I attacked a Haven with a Life army and won suffering heavy casualties, because the enemy had archers and ballistae on his towers. I used auto combat, and LOST!!! I used quick combat and lost less than a week's recruits!!! I almost stared at it in awe, and then tried normal combat again. Heavier casualties. Quick combat, only 3 pikemen, this time.

I saved my game...

Well, I use QC alot. Cuz my armies to strong to waste time on those stacks..
Anyways. =P

If I can afford to lose a creature or 2, it means I wont.
My basic reason for the questions is "WOuld it take away from experience or anything."
I doubt that it would, but I need verification before I continue using QC all the time.

Thank's Khalao!! If I had more time to show my appritiation I would.
