actually i'm just an ignorant aussie that can only speak english (kuma will have to respond to that lol).
I cant speak spanish, spell chinese, or seduce in french, but i can use cut'n'paste and an online translator

so i know that pollo was saying that strategy games are all about speed, which is usually true. u expand as fast as u can, capture resources/arties and use them to dominate. However that like saying that learning a language is all about communicating, well it is true, but not like u can master it overnight

I only revived it to remember a lot of players that did crticize me, on that time ,even good guys like midnight and kuma.. But other that did the things harder like haile and andy.. Well I think i improved a lot of things but i can still saying the same thing as on that time and NOW BACKUP in game..i have the skill to do it.
1. Solymir is very powerfull and on week 3 is almost unbeatable.. who wants to prove me otherwise there is my mail Alexkidd103@hotmail.com We can play the standard RMG file ona large no under map on 160. And see what happens in a better of 3.
2. Fixed maps have nothing in skill vs Map control. Chain and all that is about planning and no interaction, there is nothing vs a complete interaction game, maybe i can't win you and those preplaned map, y defy those players to win me in ONE of three tries on a map control game.
3. I stil thinking logistic should be banned.. Is too much as ability on certain maps.
4. I still hating those SUPER heroe maps, i still playing them since it is the only thing most players play...
5. removing summon elemental on fixing maps HELPS magic hero a lot. Not otherwise.

Hiya,
I'm too lazy to read my previous post, but I'm sorry if I offended you. It seemed to me that you complained and whined a lot without having played much on a competitive level. Still I might have been too harsh.
However, I still do not agree with everything you say, but you have 'matured' a lot, most likely by having gained some experience.
So to make a long, boring story short: sorry, maybe we can play some time

your enthusiasm is good, but most of the points in this thread had been common knowledge for many years. It was like "hey i just invented the wheel". With a bit more experience you can filter that stuff out and make some more interesting points. Hence why kuma posted saying stop talking and start playing. He is right imo.
Good thing is, i can read your posts now, look at some of those early ones
specifically
1. depends on map, but some smallish open maps soly is ok, but risky if caught out with no mana. Week 3 on random your might hero opponent is taking a conservatory or hive. Unless soly gets mass slow very very early, he cant take conserves without huge losses.
2. open vs closed, random vs fixed, one map style vs another etc. been discussed many many times, each to their own.
3. since day 1 of H3 been some ppl with a variety of no log rules
4. yep u in a minority with ur taste, but not alone. some ppl play Battle for Honor over and over again cuz no unbalancing relics.
5. What u mean is remove fly/dd/mirror/sac/summons and have.... implo every time. yep that helps magic heroes, but i think ppl like a bit more variety in spells.

You are right about your 5 points... that's all i can say.
True is i exagereted the point a week 2/3 solymir is powerfull, but they can be beaten by other fast heroes on those maps, like ivor, or shakti. But i meaned is that he's not that weak as a lot of player say...i say he's understimated

nah, this isn't true. In season IV battle for honor was the map I played most, boomerang 2nd. I don't play those anymore (bfh too boring, boomerang too unbalanced), but I always liked to play other open maps like Warring Kingdoms, Fighting for Turf, Insanity, Outer Limits (semi open), Danger Zone etc. There were some cool people (Defreni, Jinxer, Motorschaaf, AndiAngelslayer etc.) who played these maps and it was great fun.
Nowadays almost nobody plays those maps (maybe BfH if you're lucky), so I turned to randoms and closed maps. Actually there are not many closed maps I like, favourites are Battle of Bastards 2 and Showdown 3. The interesting thing is, against a skilled opponent these maps turn into open maps later (bob2 week 2, sd3 week 3), but that didn't happen very often lately, lol.
However, I hardly play this game at all right now for various reasons, just a few WW tribe games for my team. Too bad Pollo, you should have been here 2 years earlier

i dont agree with you haile about 2 years... all we needs are new bloods like pollo in toh... then you ll see tournement will be back to his old good days

This might be true, but you're missing my point. I'm about to cut down on my online gaming dramatically. 2 years ago I played about 2 or 3 games per week, so the chances that I would play Pollo would have been much higher than they are now.
PS: A single chicken doesn't make a summer (german saying, slightly modified)

if something new, something interesting happens... will you start to play again? We need uberideas for heroes3... new plans ... example: i like xarfax tournie(cow) in germanleague.. we need such kind of interesting subtournement

I've always had phases when I played very often and phases when I did not play at all. These "addictiveness" periods always tended to get shorter and the intervals between them getting longer. However, I never say never hehe.
As for those subtourneys, they are a good and the organizers like Xarfax deserve a great respect. But still, recent 'developments' (ToH leadership crisis, lack of honorable players, current map preferences) let me doubt that h3 will ever come close to what it's been. That's no problem though, I'm dedicating my time to other things now

you've said that diplomacy can be compensed on a L, XL map
you are so wrong
diplomacy is one of the best weapons on L and XL maps
I can gather so fast an huge army with it , that ya'll be amazed
so beware of the diplomats on L and xl's map
normally on small maps there are no strong creatures.. and if they exists they are few, several, maximum pack
while on large and extralarge.. you'd be amazed
" I always fear a diplomat on L and XL "
ps : try to play a 8XM8 without diplo=> you will be so dead that you won't even realise it"

I've played H3 for 6 years, still now
In random maps, my favorite, MAGIC HEROES DO RULE though sometimes they got stuck with resistance orb (rarely)
even with undead, vidomina is more convinient than isra cos she can get skeleton more quickly in addition to the ability to use spells sharply
the same to diplomacy
@Polo: play lots and u will find out u can use any heroe not only Solmyr with the same result. wish to meet u someday. goodluck

ah and btw, necro sux too, ya play necro = no skill
anyone can make skellies and do those fights, that become easyer and easyer as the time passes and skelies grow bigger in number and lords too
