Well, about the squish thing, it colud get quite annoing, don't you think? Try to picture this: you have a legion of, let's say, master gremlins, and you're prety sure that you would beat the crap out of a single titan. Normaly, you would lose a max. of 50 units, but as you put it, Val, 500 of these gremlins would get flushed down the toilet.
And that is a thing I'm not very happy about!

Quote: I you would know programming, Valeriy, you would understand that it is extremwly hard to make data changes in the battlefield array so that the hexes would be defined for the same unit, and it may even require to change the whole battle engine.
"extremwly hard to make data changes in the battlefield array so that the hexes would be defined for the same unit"
eh??? what are you talking about. In the battlefield lots of creatures take up two spaces already so all that has to be added is width which is easy enough. This is by no means complicated to do.

I agree u with 3x2x3 because it will give some fear to us, we know that titan is a huge 10-15 m giant and same size with a 2 goblin(which is a midget) its out of phsics rules. And so boring. I think that 3do must make the size equal to mosnter and ı want to see BLOOOOOOOODDDDD!!!!!!!
WHİCH WİLL A BETTER TASTE!

Bigger is better!!
And with the proposed 3D graphics on the table - maybe we'll see more of this unit size differentiation.

It is quite nice so, as it is - but I would like it if there would be "logic" size-relations (e.g. big grad, small gobbo)

i good thread is a good thread..
I agree though, I would like to see Hydras much much bigger then goblins, or pixies.
find a way to make it work... H1 had huge units, maybe we can use something similar to those kinds of graphical sizes for huge units. compared to H4 units for the small units.

i would rather suggest logarithmic scale (or how do you say it correctly in english). to put it more bluntly, i don't like the idea of linear size differences.

I think unit sizes should stay pretty much the same as it has always done, in other words in this case reality should be give the boot.
I think size difference between a titan and a halfling could be perhaps 1:3 but shouldn't be much more than that.
Even if you can zoom you will either feel the halfling is too small (and can barely be seen) or you will see the giant obstructing too much of the battlefield.
Too big creatures very quickly get frustrating and creates interface problems.
If the creature is too small, you can't see the expression on their faces when they are crushed.
So I'd opt for similar sizes.... It might not be realistic but I think it's better. (And I want to see face of both the triumphant dragon and the squashed peasant when the dragon blasts the peasant away!)
