Help...how to put a pic
Recently I was making a map of my own and also doing a big campaign of my own...
Now, the probs is I want to make my own heroes with its own pic or avatars.
Any clue how to change this or at least add some pic of the heroes..?

There is a mod utility to do it in Heroes 4 called H4FaceKit, but I can't remember where to get it, and I know it hasn't been updated for a while. The problem is it only works for the game you are playing on your system, you can't transfer the custom pics with your map unless the player also has the utility and loads the images you've made. I think that's how it works, but I could be wrong, it may just extract faces. No one really uses it for that reason. I'll look around and see if I can find it agian, but you may want to search yourself.

thanks but I was playing HOMM 3, nad I heard that some guy was making a big map of Middle Earth with the correct pic of the character...
anyway to do the same thing like he did? or was that just a rumours...

i dunno how to make it, obviously you did replace some of the files.
Although i have played a LOTR map made by middleearth which included the correct pics so i know it can be done.
if thats any help i dunno though

I tried using it once, but never finished making it work. I don't know if it works for the expansions, but it should for the standard game. The instructions are fairly well done.

Gosh, I'm sorry. All this time I thought you were talking about doing it for H4. I don't know of the way to do it in H3, unfortunately. I'm pretty sure they are stored in the H3bitmap.lod file in the data directory, but I have no idea what the tool is that needs to be used to export/import the pics, or if it's even available somewhere. I've never seen one, sorry. You could write to the guy who did the H4Facekit and ask him. He'd probably know.
