In fact there are also many other very effective modern warfare tactics unutilized in HOMM. Infiltration, espionage, sabotage, terrorism, and of course threatening to nuke the whole place.
I think we definitely need a poisoning terrorist unit, lets call it Rat, that can stealthily enter an enemy town, poison the water supply there and cause all creatures present in the town die a horrible death.
or maybe its not quite the heroes way of doing it.

They might consider that if there would be towns in H5 called Hiroshima, Nagasaky, or Chernobyl. 
Then we can move up to rockets, sattelites, shuttles, lasers, tanks, bombs, submarines, aircraft carriers, Jedy warriors, Darth Vader...
