I agree with ZUD.
I think all of you must share the opinion of the wisest oldmen from Toh . It was supposed to be a tourney that should forge the "kids" preparing them for incoming REAL challenge. You don't have to take seriously those utopic prizes , it was only to encourage people to learn
So , it had an educational purpose, don't let yourself blinded by the fame so soon. (or hypnotised by other....with a greater desire for fast glory )
Have a nice day

well my opinion is quite simple and i would say much more logic, I really do not know why vesuvius started tournament which, how it seems, he does not intend to finish ? not that it did not happen in h3 ( however teacher and other "top players" are imho more concern about werewolf and his 300 toh bonus points for victory rather then the tournament as it is, I am almost positive that would there be 6 ppl who will be squires/barons by now NONE of you would complain, its not it kinda silly ?

1 more thing, about "missed deadline", i dont think that anybody can accuse me of not being online enough, magus_rex had some problems but offered me forfeit, which he said is up to me, I did not care and told him its ves business not my, if he grants extension then that its cool with me, ves said that he will extend the tournament but did not say by how long, nor he did change it on page, dunno about pegase/dunken but werewolf already played with etta, again not updated page so u guys are crying on wrong grave about "missing deadlines"

actually its still active, and will remain open until remaining games are finished. I've left it as 'no deadline'. The remaining two matches must be finished before final round is set up.

Actually
I was mainly jokin about canceling it. But......
Its really too bad that it didnt come to completion much earlier. for a footman or even squire/baron to get 300 points isnt that big of a deal. that good of a player would become legionaire quickly anyway, this just jump starts them.
It does have a larger affect on the top ranked players when one or two of them get a bonus like this. Its much harder to accumulate points when your in the top 10 players. at this point the points do much more to skew the tournament rankings.
I think werewolf is one of if not the top player in TOH but to get 300 points when your at 1900 or 2000......
just wanted to get some opinions.

well zud u made point but there are also other things to consider, if the person get 300 pts and he does NOT posses the skills then he will drop as quickly as he gained those points dont u agree ? say if u make some footman legionaire, how long it will last ? few games till he loses 100, 200 pts, but u are right that if the top players are more/less even then 300 pts is a huge gain but i think the time for complaining was at the START of the tournament not by the end of it

smisek, if you didn't get it, it was a joke which seems to be understood by some of us around, or you have something against me since the draw that i offered you and you didn't accept and game finished bad (it was only your fault, i didn't even interfere in game fate) ?
so , please, no hard feelings, was just an oldman joke for the ones who can figure it out.
about those points, maybe a voice from deep inside your conscience said "Will not be the same with or without 200 points? " which you are aiming at (cause the big prize was already taken from the moment the tourney started cause someone who had some knowledges IN THE PAST , about how could be boosted by such a cookie made calculations very quickly
this one might be an advisor, as well.
have a nice day

No offense to any players in the call to power... but I agree with Zud. I think the basic intention for the tourny was to increase a squire up in rank. Just because the tourny took sooo long and some of the participants are now Lords, should mean they no longer qualify.
Kinda like the Warlord shield tourny. If you are shield holder and go up in rank you must forfiet your standing.
So my opinion is that if the winner of Call to Power is already Legionairre + they simply get prestige and nice medal. But kinda silly to give a lord 300 points for winning a Squire tourny hehe.

But the winner won't be winning a "squire" tourney, the winner will be fighting baron++ in the final.
Since everyone has gone up in rank, the difficulty of winning the tourney has also increased...
How else would this tourney work? Just playing your Call to power games and winning ( cause obviously you wont get 1st place without beating your opponents) will make you baron/legionnaire+ easily.
The winner of the tourney will be a "winner", no doubt, and a winner rises in ranks fast no matter what, so this will happen next time this tourney is played aswell.
Live with it

no teacher I did not get it as a joke, I made the threat to point out the thing which I did not like and I expected serious answers, as for our game, believe it or not I forgot about it the minute I lost, I lost quite a few games and I definately dont have any hard feelings towards u nor anybody else in toh lol, I have 1500 pts and thats where I belong would I have 1700 i would quickly drop back to 1500 or so = believe it or no but in my case I am not concern about the points, more about the finishing the tourney into which I invested time and effort (and wrote zilion of emails to opponents) "cause the big prize was already taken the moment tourney started" = ? try it in plain english pls, if you try to say something, say it

jinxer, it is NOT fault of the players who are playing the tourney (deadlines, rules etc), why you guys did not complain on start of this tourney ? nobody saw it comming ? nobody though that from 28 "newbies" there would be few who would get better in time ?

It does have a larger affect on the top ranked players when one or two of them get a bonus like this. Its much harder to accumulate points when you got horse farm to manage during your turns.
ivan lendl (aka jinxer):
but I agree with Zud
So my opinion is that if the winner of US Open already knows how to handle racket they simply get prestige and nice medal. But kinda silly to give a player who just hits the ball $900000 for winning a squire tourny hehe
pat mc'enroy (aka teacher):
who is that Marat eh Safin after all? he had some knowledges IN THE PAST, he must be Goran Ivanishevich in disquise after plastic surgery or something
so , please, no hard feelings, was just an oldman joke for the ones who can figure it out.
