Well it would be nice to discuss things concerning nature strategy...Of course it depends on one's style of playing.
I always try to have army with high adventure map movement. As said many times before, speed is everything in this game, and nature is so good for this purpose: sprites, tigers, griffons (unicorns on poor maps), air elementals/mantis, archer, druid and you'll quickly get all the mines/artifacts. In the fight you put 2 stacks of air elementals in front. Good if archer has some Magic Resistance. Life knight is also welcome (speed/movement/morale).

The Creature Portal is all but the cherry on top of the nature pie, which is already pretty powerful even without the Level 4 creatures. I had won a fair amount of times with a nature army while leaving the Level 4 units at home. Just churn out some powerful water elementals, bring your archer to GM archery and melee, keep your druid summoning elementals and you should be fine as long as you don't face someone or something overtly powerful like black dragons or GM magic resistant combat heroes.

Quote: the strategy is cool, with few exceptions though: opposing cyclops will never come close to your army as long as they have some boulders left. Once they run out of ammo, they will come to you, that is, if there is something left to come to...
Well... I think an enemy's best unit is a prime target for my shooters. This does not work because Cyclopses are long-ranged, that makes them a prime target for a spell-caster like the Water Elemental, which is one of the reasons I bring them along.

Well... I think an enemy's best unit is a prime target for my shooters. This does not work because Cyclopses are long-ranged, they will probably do more damage to me with their spread shot than I do to them with my elves. That makes them a prime target for a spell-caster like the Water Elemental, which is one of the reasons I bring them along.
