I agree Ryc......we need to be a team on this. Ves Raven Chubby Gan, and I should all have input on the new clans. I am thankful Ves is going to help, don't get me wrong but MaH is supposed to be a team effort and I want that back again.
Raven worked hard on what she had for clans and I think it should be incorperated into the new clans system. Also I don't know about this land based idea...I do not like it at all. After looking at H4 clans really hard today I don't think it will be good for MaH, I think we need our own clans system and I think if all 4 of us worked togeather we could have that. I want to see a new clans not like H4 clans not like Ravens clans maybe something in between them both. Just my thoughts

Thats not the point Ves. I believe that if we had Mandi and Ravyn working together consistently, we would have a clans, or divisions thing up and working. No-one is questioning YOUR dedication to Toh, how could they....but those girls need to work together to show us how good they are and what they can come up with. They both did it independently, Ravyn with HK and Mandi with Myths.
Lets see em do it together now, for the benefit of us all.

It's not that I am "unhappy" about your involvement or that I am unappreciative of the fact that you are willing to help out. If what you were offering was help, but it's not, what you are offering is to take over. I have repeatedly asked for your help and input on how to make my new ideas better but all I ever get is "look at what I've done in the past" (which I would have loved to have done if the original clan pages survived). And they aren't "Ravyn's clans" I didn't set them up on my own. There was a LOT of input from MANY players in the Heroes Community.

Suggestion: Start the LoC asap until end of season; I agree wif Ves that it would be a fast tourney, so it should be ready b4 end of season and if it's not just let the 'final' be in the beginning of new season.
Season ends 23rd August.
The very next day Clans should be fired up.
I'm sure the work that Sapph did can be implemented in the framework Ves made and which has been proven to work properly.
I would strongly suggest u use the knowledge that Ves offered. It is beyond me why we are actually discussing about 'letting' Ves help in the 1st place.
Use all the info he can give and implement some new ideas if needed.
Same as Rych I would be more than happy to help out for example wif the balance. We also need a vet in fixed maps (Stuff, BossBo e.g.) to guard over the balance for that part.
Midnight and JB are essential in these plans also; since they seem to have the most knowledge about RMG's and Fixed maps.
Now is that possible?
- Start LoC now
- Start Clans the 1st day of the new season (24 August 2003)
- Use the framework of H4 clans
- Keep Ves around for info and help
- Ask Midnight and JB for help as well.
- Have some vets helping out with the details.

I was thinking the same thang but I figured be better coming from you Kuma so I wont get tossed I mean LOC dont seem like it will be long termed & we can possibly finish it before this season ends, so we can concentrate all on clans in Aug.

and I can have 4-5 more new maps. I sent 3 new ones to kitten and GW 1.5, so there can be about 8-9 total to use in a week.

When there is a specific request, make it and see if i can help. Note also, that with custom randoms, L may play very differently than M or XL. Indeed in blockbuster, there is actually 3 different templates with the same name. So you might wanna have BB L on one land, and BB XL another, as u would with HG3 and HG XL. I can help out in choosing the right rmgs, so that there is a balance between popularity and variety. Now that there is random map template reporting, check the database to see what the most popular templates are.
How many battles do u think would take place in LoC. It seems to allow quite a few rematches. Do you think it can be over in 7 weeks? I suspect it would drag on for 4 months or so. Imagine if u have 6 lands, and u get 6 requests for battles, u cant do them all at the same time, tho having 2 players in each team will help pace it up a bit.

See that is why the post was made about LoC to see what rules players think needs changed and all. This is a tournament being set up for either End of season, Beginning of next to get games in before Clans opens, After clans dies out, Or if activity is high enough run along side clans later. Am I the only person that thinks you can't have a tournament site with just 1 tournament running? From what I been reading every 1 seems to think that if Clans opens ToH will be the best again and no need for any tournament but clans. You have to have more than just clans in ToH or is that all you and everyone else on MaH is going to do play clans? If that is the case then the Admins of MaH are going to have a real easy job this year LOL. Over 2000 players playing in 1 tourney Clans. Heck I would love that be real easy to update the site.

..seems u dont get the main point: Look how many sub did really work last season...AND?...well only one were Motorschaaf was involved worked fine ...Mapmaster..and even this one stopped working.
So u talk about 2 subs at same time?..great!!...but what if not a single one did ever get ready to work...even tribes is 10 times better then what was here this season ..and those havnt any automation.
Dont try to start several subs at one time. Start one ..get it to work...and then with risen activity try to get a second to work.
Its as easy as this...

Well orless you are a really active player, it's not easy concentrating on 2 tournaments.
If one is opened then you can put in 100% on that tourney other wise you will have 2 tournies with half your games played if that.
Say you open clans & LOC at the same time.
One of those tournies may run as great as the other.
Better to open them seperately so we can fill the excitement of one tourney.

1 at a time, then later u can look at if there is enough activity/demand to open more.

LOC should not be that long termed I say lets all get together & get it started & have a great season ending then when the next seaon starts we can fully concentrate on CLans & like I said before, it also gives you plenty of time to work on it ;0.

Nice sarcasm...I stopped reading after the first later.
Anyways, I see what point people are trying to make. They want 1 GOOD and active tourney running, and once that is launched and in motion see other stuff form and new tourneys created.
I agree to a certain degree...cause if clans is opened and is designed well, more will play, and then you put up a new tourney and build off of it. Its almost like starting over to build the community

First of all gangrail, if you wanna try and keep this a serious topic stop with all the childish replies like calling other peoples posts stupid and the posters morons just because they dont share your view.
You might believe in a little tourney to end this season.
Fine then do so.
But respect that other people doesnt share that view.
As a matter of fact, i cant think of many people at all who shares your view here.
So instead of judging other peoples posts you might wanna look into what the members want.
You have put forward your arguments and we have seen them.
Yet many of us still believe that clans is required here, some of these are vets who should have quite a good clue IMO.
So instead of tossing their opinions out the window you might wanna start listening to them.
I dont doubt that LOC could become a decent tourney, but do you actually believe it could be as succesful as clans?
And correct me if im wrong, but couldnt TOH/MAH use a really active proven tournament right now?
Im just wondering.

Well Stiven I think the point is that we are all missing theviews that the other persons saying including him & you.
Clans will be there & basically we have to see where it will lead us & then well decide what other tournie we can put in along side clans without hurting the dedication.
