Best Spell/Creature Combo
I have to agree with the clone archangels, blind combo. I use it frequently. For me, this works best in a siege. I wait until my enemy is way down, the blind that last stack (always try to ensure that the last stack is blindable! This is useless against undead, but...) then I clone the archangels. First I res any archangels who may have bitten the dust. Then wait out my turn. The turrets kill off the archangels, then it's time to res the new stack. Start resing everybody who needs it (and that you're able to). Eventually you'll have to re-blind your opponent as it'll wear off, but keep this up until you've either run out of spell points, or raised everybody. Then go forth and wipe your opponent off the face of the map.
Of course, this is a deadly combo if you have expert water (or else you're definitely not cloning archangels) and having expert earth is also desireable (or else your res'd creatures may, or may not, be there when the battle is over.)
Then again, there is something to be said for teleporting across that big stack of chaos hydras, or ancient behemoths.

Best one i know:
Archdevils + blind. With their no retaliation ability, this is good to use against overwhelming stacks of monsters. Sure, this means that you will have to have another speedy unit, so that after the Archdevil hits, you can cast blind again.

The question was if clones can use those abilities, not if they are affected by them.

Best Combination
Sacrifice on Hallebardier (when they're almost dead, 30) and resurrect marksmen to replace your Archangels if they arleady used their power
Hallebardier are resistant for a first level unit, and marksmen low for a second level unit (being archer).

especially in heroes 2, blind + ranged units (or no retal units like pixies) were killer. you could wipe out massive armies without taking a single loss.
mass slow plus ranged units is also good times

Just want to correct something from some posts ago. Luck on dread knights doesn't quadruple the damage, it just adds extra damage like it would on any other unit. The doubling effects doesn't actually double the damage either, it may do so under some condition but for one example if the unit's attack is a lot higher than the target's defense much of the damage done will be because of the large difference, which neither luck nor the dread knight special will be helped by since they multiply that from some basic number. In reality either of them triggering vs some weaker stack will do roughly 50% more damage, and if both trigger you've done a bit more than double damage. I usually consider it a sad day if my spellcaster hasn't managed to get better spells to use than Fortune.
