A new original town concept(almost original)
Now i really hope u will like this ideea.
There are 6 towns as predicted:
Furnance, Forest, Castel, Cursed town, Zigurat, Pit.
Furnance:
it is actualy the dwarf town, with 3 dwarf units and 3 mechanical units.
lvl. 1 Aprentice>>>Smith-----Blacksmith
the aprentice is a slow moving unit with a great resistance to magic, his weapon is the hammer that he uses in the forge.
lvl. 2 Scorpion>>>Balista-----warmachine yard
the Furnance ranged unit, it fires over walls and has no melee penalty.
lvl. 3 Stone golem>>>Granite golem-----golem factory
similar to homm3 just biger
lvl. 4 Batlledwarf>>>Dwarf lord-----dwarven halls
a slow but very strong unit with high defence and atack.
unlike in homm3 these dwarfs have an axe.
lvl. 5 Dwarf shaman>>>Dwarf runelord------Rune temple
the dwarf spellcaster, can cast mirth and meteor shower
lvl. 6 Iron giant>>>Colosus-------Foundry
this unit has a 30% procent chance to stun its oponent for 2 rounds, it looks something lke a titan
Forest:
this is the elf town much similar to rampart in homm3,
lvl. 1 Scout>>>Tracker-------Tree house
he looks like the rouges in homm3, and is very fast
lvl.2 Wood elf>>>High elf------Homestead
ya know...
lvl. 3 Elf rider>>>Pegasi rider------Watrerfall
i hope this is not to much, an upgrade from ground to air unit( there is of cours upg from melee to rangrd unit )

OK, sorry abut that. Anyway, I like your Colossus idea, he is one of my favorite mythical creatures. He would have to be toned down though, otherwise, he wouldn't fit on the screen. The Dwarven army is probably my favorite of yours. Dwarves are the coolest.

About your Cursed Town, I would try and stay away from the werewolf idea. People on this board take the argument about whether they are living or dead very personally. Maybe you could use something like a Necrite. It was a black magic creature from Magic: the Gathering.

the cursed town does noy neceseraly mean undead but simply

We got devils, but no angels?
The Castle sounds like a variation on the old pre-Homm1 game.
Although I applaud the time it took to dream it up. Sounds intriguing.

I like how you placed Magog higher than the daemon. Gog and Magog were very powerful creatures and deserved much better than a measly level two spot as they had in HoMM 3.

Well, I wouldn't say they are were weak. Anyway, do your Magogs still have the spread shot ability? If so does it still damage your allies?

well now that you brought it up
if you played AoE 2 you know that onagers damage your units also when fireing.this problem was ixed in the expansion.
Magogs features stay the sam except for damageing allies.
als their stats is much improved

I was looking at your Zigurat Town, and I noticed you abandoned the Ogre Mage in favor of the Ogre Berserer. What makes the Ogre Berserker a good replacement for the Ogre Mage, and does he have the Berserk ability like the Berserker and the Frenzied Gnasher? If he does, his stats will need to be very high in order to make him worth while. The Frenzied Gnasher does this fine and is a perfectly fine unit because of it. The Berserker, however, does not. Are his stats consideribly high for his level?

i wouldnt like you to misunderstand me but when i wrote berserker i meant an ogre that had higher fighting stats than his downgrade but not like da berserkers in homm4.
i sincearly didnt know to put instead of mage(not that it isnt a good ideea but i wanted somthing new) so the result is a cool looking ogre who goes "berserk" only after he is atacked if you can keep him out of batlle until you get inside the castel than you have great ace up your sleeve(to mention when he goes berserk he also gets the frenzy spell)

Why did you decide to let the Magog upgrade into a Morlock? Morlocks were subterrainian creatures that lived in the far future and fed on the Eloi in the Time Machine. They seem pretty unrelated.

Really? Is that from a book or is it general mythology? Any way your elves look as if they are pretty on par with the other five towns. Do they have extensive summoning like Nature from HoMM 4?
