According to Celestial Heavens, the highest bid so far comes from Ubi Soft at $1,300,000.
I suggest most people frequently look there, since Celestial Heavens is usually the first one to get HoMM related news. They were also the first ones who knew about the 3DO bankrupcy.

Sorry for my attitude, but who give a sh-t for Horsemen of Apocalypse? Its an untried unplayed unfinished game???
Homm has so much history and a large fan base, it makes no sense to me why the horsemen thing is being bid over homm.

That's ok vesuvius, I was thinking exactly the same. Besides I've seen ingame screenshots of the four horsemen of the apoclypse and I must say it was looking horrible.

Microsoft?
Why would you want Microsoft to own HOMM? They already own too much. Everything they make is of very low quality. Take Windows for example. I realize that Microsoft will probably buy NWC because Microsoft has the money, but I hope that someone else buys NWC, No Microsoft. What good did Microsoft ever do???
But I think its great that someone is going buy NWC!!!

Quoted from celestialheavens
"The Heroes of Might and Magic asset group has three bidders, namely Ubi Soft, Eidos and Turbine Entertainment, with the former being the lead bidder."
Personally I'd choose Ubi Soft out of those three, considering what eidos did to the tomb raider franchise, forcing core design to rush the release, leaving us with only half of the game finished and half of the original content discarded. And Turbine Entertainment seems very unknown to me. So I think Ubi Soft is the best choice.

Which OS are you using? There is no doubt that Windows XP is one of the best ones out there for decent computers to run games. And then there is Age of Empires and Rise of Nations, both great strategy games from Microsoft.

I Don't Like Bill
Im using Windows 2000 Second Edition. I think its the best out of all the windows but I think Windows sux. Windows is crap, I would have some good points for that but I'm hungry and its hard to consentrate. IYY "The system sux."
It really does, I would use Linux but it looks complicated and I don't think I can play all of my games on it. How can you say that XP is good to run games? It can't even run some HOMM games example http://heroescommunity.com/viewthread.php3?TID=8632 If Bill wasn't monopolizing there would be better OS out there. I've never played Age of Empires or Rise of Nations so I wouldn't know anything about those. I just don't want Microsoft ending up owning everything like AOL.
Has anyone ever noticed that Bill Gates has a "beat me up face?"

Don't Blame Others...

It is not Bill Gates' fault that 95% of the end-users are either too ignorant, too lazy, or not educated enough (myself included) to run another OS other than Windows. It is OUR fault that we are 'forced' to run Windows, so we should accept responsibility for our own shortcomings and not attempt to justify them by blaming others. Besides, if it wasn't for Bill Gates and Steve Jobs, we would all be running programs in DOS without a Graphics User Interface. Quote: Has anyone ever noticed that Bill Gates has a "beat me up face?"
If I had to take a guess about Bill Gates, it would go something like this. Bill was probably not very handsome, nor was he one of the 'cool' kids growing up, and that may have been what motivated him to excel at school and with computers. (Yes, he dropped out of college, but then again, does a college degree really prove ones intelligence, especially in the computer or programming field?) I say give the man credit where credit is due. He is a multi-billionaire because he had the knowledge, the desire, and business savvy that it takes to make it big, plus he donate millions of dollars to charity every year (tax writeoffs perhaps, but it is put to good use). Try beating Bill Gates' up now, because even the U.S. Government is having a tough time doing this.
