Live and work in theUSA?!
Ok... this is it! the straw broke the donkeys back...like it isn't bad enought that one has to put up with the US nationalism and 'supremacims' in mass madia of all sorts, but some things go too far..not only that whenever i check an old email addres of my i'm being put forward to a banner that says "Live and Work in the USA! Apply for the green card lotery today! Get your chance at the american dream today!" i also have to face emails of this sort!
Not only for me but for many other people is this not only annoying but also offensive...i'm soory but all of this seem s like recruting to me. Just trying to get more people in that will probably vote a the republicans and support their ever expanding wing.
It is way more than enough that the US goverment tries to influence every aspect of international politics, but this has gone a bit too far... the US goveremnt makes a huge amount of money on the Green Card lotery every year, from people who put their lifely savings into it just so they have a sparkle of hope but usualy lose it all and it goes into developing new weapons.
But the point is what gives the US right to advertise and exploit people like this?! Someone should do something about this for it is nothing more than missuse of people.

I've never heard anything like this before...
I don't know why the government would this. I personally think we have enough immigrants because of all the illegals coming from Mexico. Actually I don't like the though of this advertizement. Companies are already hiring ppl from India becuz they can pay them a lot less. I agree with you Sir that this advertizment is bad.

By law, only a certain amount of people can immegrate to the U.S. every year. There are many more applicants than spots available, so they have a lottery to fairly(?) give out the limited amount to the many applicants.

So you think that message was sent by the US government, do you? Then let me compliment you on your brilliant powers of deduction. Do you also think that those "INCREASE YOUR PENIS SIZE 45%!!!!!!" messages are from real doctors? Do you also think that "I am a former Nigerian Warlord who needs somebody to help me launder money, send $10,000 to me and you'll get 200,000 back!!!!!!" message is from, well a Nigerian Warlord?

I was looking for a job, and I saw 1 online that says "we'll give you 1 dollar for every set of full name, adress, SSN, telephone number" and mabey some other things..
I thought about sending mine but im not that broke

Er... actually application for the "lottery" is FOC, and the US government does not make a cent out of it.

if I was the government of the state with lotteries.. I'd put the millions into a risk free intrest (like our savings accounts)..
Thats a few extra thousand perday to help fund something and make lives a fraction easier for everyone in the state.

Just because you win said lottery... doesn't mean anything... you still have to go through the system for about 2-4 years... more likely 4 before you even see your green card...
They aren't recruiting... they just like screwing around with your brain.
Working in the U.S... LMFAO.. unless you are willing to ANYTHING and i mean ANYTHING.. you will not find a job its just that simple.. Im a snob when it comes to certain jobs, I would never be a maid a babysitter a cook(just cus i dont like the industry), i prefer not to sully my hands with such jobs.. however if u can do anything u will find work but most people in U.S without jobs are pretty typical ... lazy and wont lower themselves to some jobs.
What i found funny was at my local 7-11 is where (forgive me if this sounds racist) all the illegal mexican workers gather to try to get construction/landscaping jobs.. then after awhile a slew of broken-down/out of work people went there in protest.. saying how they steal all their jobs... Just because i was curious and bored i asked a few of them if THEY would do the jobs... all said no...??
If you come expecting to live the american dream do yourself a favor and stay asleep where u are.. its not gonna happen (specially since this b.s i just heard about bush wanting 47 billion MORE dollars for the B.S that he likes to do) If have starving kids and are willing do whatever it takes then by all means come and fill up those jobs that nobody wants to do.

I know 1 place that actualy dose bring ppl over to work.. Opryland (in nashville tennessee.. huge hotel, theme park, and grand ol' opry) I worked in the theme park.
They pay low, and ppl work.. It's very very large. Even if everyone w/in 10 miles worked there they wouldn't have enough employees.. 1 guy at a table said "In my country, we wouldn't divorce our wives we burn them", (talkin about adultry)..
ALSO, There are job offers to US americans.. No skills required, just move across the world and teach english. They pay your bills, give you procedures to teach lessons.. Give you cash..
(Most teachers hate it, I knew 1)

I come from Serbia, so I've met those people. Yeah, they didn't seem quite happy with their current jobs. What about vice versa? Can a foreign English teacher teach other immigrants? Can I teach English to those who are not native speakers, or perhaps teach Serbian to the second generation kids? Are there such private or public schools in your neighbourhood?

In Australia, lots of ppl from India and other parts of Asia are being hired to work at call centres and to do phone surveys.

Mad Unicorn, your right, but if you do win the lotery youactualy do get the Green Card. And yes most of those people have difficulties finding a job. But then many(especialy the young men) joing the US military, for you get collage schollarship, a good pay ect. ect. The rest of the people usualy get some stupid job, like sweeping the streets or heavy manual work.
