Tell me precisely what is biased about wanting to know why your own government would deny you access to a report about a terrorist assault on your country? I get ticked off when things about Bloody Sunday are supressed, or when it was revealed recently, after years of hiding the fact, that mine supported terrorists in NI, why do you not even want to know what those parts of that report are?
I don't believe you frankly, you dismiss them because they may just bring to light some rather awkward facts about just who did help the terrorists who struck at you. If these facts/accusations were so blatantly wrong, would it not make more sense to release them and PROVE they are wrong?
I don't see what's so biased about wanting to judge for myself. I do see that you appear to have a rather closed mind to the possibilities though.
Quote: I ment Pakistan is an ally of GB only when needed just like you said about the US. I didn't say you were a dictatorship
Being specific helps then Anyway, indeed, though I hardly think of my country, or my government as saints, I know we ally ourselves to scum and sell them weapons with a mercenary smile on our faces. Does that mean America is off the hook for allying themselves to them? I think not.

This is not about being closeminded, it is about being skeptical about things from only one source. If many people from all over the government, both political parties. Skeptical, not closeminded. There is such a thing as being too open-minded, it is called gullible.

Have you looked for the report? Read it's contents? Looked into who sat on the committee? For all you know half or some of it's members might not even be democrats or from one source. To outright dismiss it because it comes from 1 party would be the equivalent of dismissing most of the evidence presented to the UN as all or most came from one side (UK/US and others). I don't recall you doubting those pieces of evidence at the time.
Why don't you investigate it, see if it could be true. And then ask yourself anyways whatever you decide "why does my government hide reports on terrorism on my country from me".
I happen to believe it's quite possible that this "foreign influence" proof might not exist, but then again you still have to ask why your government covered it up? Does that not even remotely make you suspicious? Or are you one of those who believed your government when they told you kennedy was shot solely by Oswald?

So the argument is that even though there are clearly parts of reports that have been blacked out and there have been admissions that statements made in George Bush's speeches were false, since only Democrats are raising the issue, it can't possibly be true. By that argument, since only Republicans are defending George II, he can't possibly be innocent.

Hm, I dont agree with you bort.. Cant derive solid fact just because the repubilicans are defending, and the democrats are attacking..
That dosnt tell me hes guilty or not.
(btw everyone.. I havnt heard a thing in RL about accusations against bush. So wether or not it's going on.. I dont know.

accusations about what?
anyway what I don't get is it seems the democrats are like spending so much time attacking Bush, when he's going to be out of office in 08 anyway.
Maybe I'm just simple-minded though, I've been trying to avoid politics if at all possible

Well in my country ppl generally are friendly towards US, although there are many stupid myths about Americans being dumb, less educated then europeans, not knowing where all the countries lie (except russia).. and there's the stereotype of John, typical American, who eats hamburgers and watches TV all the day, weights 300 pounds and doesn't know in which state he lives and in general is a complete idiot. Dunno where these things came from reminiscents of soviet propaganda perhaps?

as a matter of fact there are about three types of american.
1) the average 'babysitter' who's really nice and quite smart,
2) John, the one with the big TV and loads of hamburgers,
3) Corrupt politicians, like Bush. If any one likes bush (tho i doubt it) this is just my personal opinion.
About 80% of the population are 1, 19% are 2 and the rest are 3.
i dont remember much of USA since I haven't lived there for 7 years but i still lived there the rest of my life
