Hi everyone,
I'm Animeman73, known by the same name on the Shadow Council. I kind of like to keep the same name to maintain a sense of consistency and not confuse anyone. As my name clearly indicates I am a proud anime fan (I've been watching the stuff since the 1980's.) I've also been a fan of the Might & Magic series since I played World of Xeen back in the 90's and fell I love with Might & Magic. I'm also an aspiring writer of science fiction and fantasy. I'm hoping to have my work published someday. I can be critical of Might & Magic sometimes, but like a true professional I like to offer up solutions as well as point out problems. I genuinely hope to get meet some nice and friendly people here and becomes friends with some of you. Until then I'll be lurking around. Everyone have a nice day.

It's been a couple of years actually since I've posted here.
I came back for the nostalgia mostly as I picked up MMH6 for awhile hoping to see if anyone made some cool maps for it, haven't found anything yet. For the most part this forum seems to have petered out since I last came here.
Does anyone feel like telling me whats up? Whats this community been up to?

Well, hello.... I ended picking up the name "koneistaja" so I guess I shall be called by that name from now on. I was introduced to the world of HoMM in 2000 by my older brothers when I was 5 years old. Played my first game as a 7 year old with some help and eventually started playing myself in 2003. Ever since HoMM3 was my all-time favourite game.
Didn't really play any other game from the series until later on when I bought HoMM5. Had played that one at my friend's place like 8 years ago and I didn't really remember how was it. Turned out to be a disappointment 
Some time ago I finally bought HoMM2 and I have been playing that too alongside with my all-time favourite.

And now I'm feeling very old. In 2000, I was 18. I still remember thinking on 2000 and I used to imagine how I would be when I got 18 years-old. In a few years, I'll have the double of that age already. Time really get fast if we take our days for granted.

Hi all!
I love the HoMM series, one of my favourite next to Diablo. I was born in 1991 and I played with all of the older(pre H6) installments on release. I played with it alone, with friends and even family.
When H6 came out, I didn't like it. But in the last few months I looked into H7, so I got my mind on some Heroes action.
I started playing Heroes again and reading Celestial Heavens(I have an account there from 2011) and HC, after a few weeks I registered. (March 15th)
So here I am, hoping to get into a friendly or not friendly Heroes maniac community.

Hello everyone  !
My username is Fusion, but my real name is Luke.
Before saying anything, I am a very close friend to Husham.
I heard he is an user there, and he recommended me to use this forum.
I've noticed the mistakes he done, and I love Heroes games as he does, but I thing he'd better keep his mouth (and I have the permission to adress to him directly, because I'm his friend) shut, and let me type.
Ok, enough with known users, I will get to the subject.
I love Heroes series very much, and I do design some maps.
My favorite one is Heroes 3, as it is pretty classic and original, and all I want is to make people nice.
I've registered yesterday, and well, I've took a look at all the users, the posts and the threads.
I am a nice user, and want to help the community from now on. I'll be honest, I'll look for Husham's mistakes, and learn from him, maybe he can help somehow.
Also, I like playing via GameRanger and want to install Hamachi.
Thanks for creating such a nice forum.

Hello everyone.
I'm just a random citizen who love playing Heroes 3 game.
I've been coming here now and then for a while to learning stuffs about the game as a guess. It is really cool that there are so many people still playing and discussing about such old but awesome series.

Hi,
I had some questions regarding Heroes 3 and therefore registered and am posting here, as requested for new members.
As far as an introduction, I began playing Heroes 1 and 2 when they were first released as a boxed set many years ago. I finished Heroes 2 and the expansion, and tinkered with Heroes 1 a bit but never played it much. I later started on Heroes 3 but never finished it (other things came up - I was enjoying it a lot, great game). A few years later I came across copies of the Heroes 3 stand-alone games and played the first several.
I've recently decided to play the main Heroes 3 game again, this time intending to play end to end including all the expansions and the stand-alone games that I hadn't yet played.
My question is about the main Heroes 3 campaign. I guess I have become a bit more conservative over recent years and would prefer to avoid a few elements of the game, in particular the need to play the evil campaign as it is currently implemented. I tried using the cheat code to auto-win, but it gives me "cheater" label and of course I miss out on some of the scenarios which could otherwise be a great deal of fun.
So I was wondering:
- Is there a mod somewhere that changes these elements? Just switching out a few of the creatures for something else would help a lot.
- If not, is there at least a way to avoid that "cheater" flag that gets set into the subsequent saves?
- If not, does that "cheater" label really affect anything real in the game? Or is it unimportant?
If there's a better place to post this question, please let me know. This is currently the only place I am allowed to post as a new user.
