clans with system as it is now, land arties bonuses and linked l;ands, just WONT work.. needs manymany clans to be good and competitive, and that wont happen.
IF new clan wars emerge, system must be adjusted to reality.. 8-12 active clans.. maybe with 3 members too!

slap slap .... wake up people. (Well 'people' as in the 5 persons on this topic).
I know what the activity levels are like, and I know how many would participate. It would not be worth my time to start it with 3 active clans, with 2 or 3 more that fizzle in 4 weeks.
There is no point in running a 30-50 player tournament to fullfill the needs of 5 players who (might) be up for it.
These are the facts, if I have to say it again, wake up!

Hmmm, we could do that ... Ves can post something on mainpage and we would direct every player that comes there ... I am really hopeful, because with the making of clans activity will rise significantly.
Just so you know, there are several players who only play for clans (SHK, riverwind and so on ...)
But before we move to a next step we need to know who would play in future clans, and that must be done by an announcement to encourage everyone to say they're willing to join that ! Only after that we will have to rethink all/some philo or make a new system for clans (maybe it can be done like the Risk game too, more similar than it is now)
anyway, all of this is futile now until we will know approximately what number of players we can expect to have ... !

also lately we've had more new players enter h4 toh (off the top of my head i can think of chong, acu, and mathesis (bigtime h3 player, ive heard  ), but i know there is at least a few more) who i think would be interested in clans also. And when i proposed it i didnt mean right ******* now, but soon.. of course we have to have time to round people up and what not..

also, insa is right as usual (you guys just never give him credit  ), we need to make clans 3 members. with 3 members, we can streamline the clans system so that there is now only 1 round, and best of the three games wins. this will mean that it takes less people to make a clan (which is good since, as you pointed out, we don't have s_hitloads of people) and it will mean wars no longer draaaggg on and on like they did often in season 1 of clans. it also means that clans can no longer win wars just because of one player.. i mean in old wars a clan composed of me, insa, balcough, and karim might win 3 out of 4 of our games, but if the other clan had a teacher or weak ranger, he might run the table and still win the war, even if our clan was overall a much stronger clan.
think how much more clan wars activity there would be if wars took a lot less time! ahhh 
that was the main reason some people got tired of clans.. not lack of activity, but the fact that it took so long for anything to happen.
and valky has the right idea about having a news item directing players to this thread. its ridiculous to say that us 5 people posting in this thread are the only people interested in clans.

As long as the clan system is made that the clans are equal and lets say something like: 1 emperor in each clan or something... i can play....but thing is, its not popular because no one wants to create clans when theres so strong and overwhelming clans full of emperors...
New clans.....some modifications...

Now on a more serious not of course all emperor & lord clans will be pretty much invinciable  .
We need to make a point value compromise.
Maybe even wise to have 2 high ranked players in one clan.
Say an emperor & a Legionaire.
Not 2 emperors tho.
each clan should have at least one foot soldier.
one squire or baron or both.
minimum of 2 Legionaire-emperor to make it fair as we know many play clans that are high ranked but it dont give the other low ranked players a chance.
It would be interesting having high ranked players asking footsoldiers to join thier clans.
2 for legionaire maybe even 3 & rest one foot soldier & whatever else you see fit.
