What are your favorite fruits?
what are your favorite fruits
I like oranges, kiwi fruits, mangoes, mangosteens(how could i foret these?), cherries (not the types on cakes) and strawberries.
Of all my favortie fruits, only mangosteens, mangoes and oranges can be bought cheap in my country...

I like all fruits. I can't decide which is my favorite, since I like them all.
Well I only like Pinapple and Cherries if there fresh whole fruit. I don't like them canned for some reason.

It's a fruit found in SE asia mainly.
I was in Brunei visiting a mate from uni one summer when he asked me to try it. He loved it, his whole damn country loved it. But he warned me that white people don't like it. I thought that was a ridiculous thing to say.
It's yellow, with a lumpy spiky skin. When you split it open it smells like custard and onions. It has the consistency of that play Ooze you get in Mutant Ninja Turtles toys and it tasted like old manky socks.
He was right, I didn't like it.

The durian is a spiky fruit about the size of a coconut, but the shell is covered with hard spikes. Like coconuts, durians drop from the branches when they're ripe. Strangely, they only drop in the morning.
The durian emits a sulfuric smell a bit like methane and many white people hate the smell.
Its taste is somewhat like raw eggs with a creamy and sweet texture. IMO the taste is not that bad, but many fruits taste better than it. After eating you will feel quite hot.
Other unique fruits only available cheap in SE Asia include the dragon fruit, available only in Vietnam. It tastes worse than the durian. It's like the kiwi fruit, but tastes like mud, literally.
There is also the rambutan fruit, easily available in Malaysia. Rambutan is the Malay word for hairy, and it is more or less like a lychee, with hair all over its skin. The taste is also like that of a lychee, and it's a magnet to ants.

The mangosteen is my favorite among tropical fruits. I can't believe I forgot about this fruit. It's a dark purple fruit native to Malaysia with segmented flesh like an orange. The flesh is white and it has a unique taste. I can't really describe the taste but you get a cool, refreshing feeling after eating it. Sadly, this fruit isn't well-known out of Asia. If you can get a mangosteen, try it. It's worth it.

I don't quite like peaches. They have that annoying furry skin and I'm lazy to peel them. I prefer plums and cherries.

Anyway, way to go to.........................ORANGES!
They are:
1) Tasty
2) Sweet or sour
3) Easy to peel (if you know how)
4) Plenty of vitamins
5) Vitamin I need most - C!
