I love watermelons too and the beauty of it is that they come at different times!!!
June/July: cherries
July/Aug: watermelons
Sept/Oct: apples
Nov/Dec (I think): tangerines 
This leaves me with 6 months when I have to buy random overpriced fruits out of season

the singular is nuri, it's some kind of sandwich with beef i think, tomatoes and other stuff I don't remember, but it tastes awesome ;-)

@antipaladin, yup, there are shaurma, kebab and shish kebab fast food restuarants literally on all streets!
btw, the lebanese restaurant served falafels in sandwiches, not just by themselves as they do in Israel.
My favorite food is tolma - ground beef and rice wrapped in grape leaves and served with plain yoghurt. It's the tastiest thing in the world. :-)
I hope the creator of this thread doesn't mind that we have turned the thread on fruit discussions into a thread on Middle Eastern cuisine :-)

Mine favorite fruits are: Grapes, Apple, Strawberry, Cherries, Orange, Watermelon, Papaya, Black Berries, Banana, Custard Apple, Guava and Passion Fruit.
