Real Life Meetings
Inspiration: Peacemaker's meeting with Khayman the other day.
I'm coming to the States in July, so there's the possibility that I meet some of you there. So I want to know what can I expect.
Well, the thing I'd like to know is who knows who in RL. And if possible, I'd want the people who have seen themselves in RL to share some of the experience.
It must be strange. I mean i often picture an avatar attached to a body about how the person really looks like. And the name thing is also weird. Do you call yourselves by RL names or HC names? How's the feeling? What do you talk about? The more you post, the happier I'll be.

So far I've met Lord_Dracos and DarknessQueen *i say so far 'cuz I'm still hoping to meet many more  *
It was maybe a little bit awkward for the first 10 minutes or so - and at first we talked too much about heroes LOL(bout as long as it took for everyone to crack open a beer ) and yeah, took some time to adjust to actual people with real voices, but not too long at all, and we got together several times after that; heck we even played a game of strip poker after the beers kicked in haha!
There are also quite a few people that we've talked to over the phone often, and even tho it isn't the same as face to face, it does do a lot to make the person at the other end of the monitor seem that much closer I always feel somewhat guilty tho, as we always talk in english which seems to be many of my friends'second language, so much harder for them. accents are groovy tho
Its definately lots of fun to meet your online friends tho, hope you have lots of fun Svarog

There is the HC Adelaide Aussie Gang. I think like 5 or 6 HC people met, them all from Adelaide. If I remember right it was Doomfreak, DS, and i forget the rest.

i met with istanbul-dragon, istanbul-mage and istanbul knight LOL ... we talked about heroes 3 like crazy whole time ,still playing friendly sometimes... i met with panur too , he is dentist and he plays h3 on his private consulting place..
this summer i have some huge plans.. i will meet with madmartigan

Taking A Trip To Illinois
I'm flying to the Chicago airport to visit an old airforce friend in Milwaukee. Anyone live near there? If so then we should meet. He and I play Heroes via email. My friend and I are planning to do some all-nighter gaming, sodapop, AND a bag of chips... I'm only there for 3 days but it'll be three days without sleep probably.
Or unless someone lives in Oregon(which I doubt) that's where I live. Ah well...

Also, I am glad real isnt message boards cuz there is no posting in real lol. I would hate to be in political conversations too i had way to much online.

I'm in the states sometime this year, almost certainly meeting with Peacemaker and probably will also be in the New Mexico and Omaha regions. Other than that I've met a member from ages back called LydiaElf.

Oh, that. 1st July - 1st August.
Towson, a town near Baltimore. Will also take up excursions to Washington and New York. Maybe even some other places. Anyone from there?
That'll be my first visit to USA. Bush better raise the national security level while I'm there.

You should be careful to say things like that. Many people don't let jokes like that slide from first time foreigners coming into the country. You could anger someone. We are post 9/11 country now.
