new things..

- level 4 monsters before 3rd town replaced with the same army for both players, consisting in few BD, Devils, some evil eyes , medusas and imps, army that will receive xtra force (randomly) under attack. this army will become opponent's aswell.
- added an one-way portal in the neighbourhood of this army that can be accessed only by opponent and leads to his main area. I let you figure it out its purpose

    Or maybe stick it in a garrison,cos i screwed my entire game by attacking that army with a scout to see exact numbers etc.now i have a huge roaming army controlled by opponent,with the potential to grow bigger each turn.I'm definately gonna study scripts next time i play a new map lol

Yea CoL v2.0 introduces a new feature: demon farming is back to heroes!

If your opponent attacks the guards without defeating it, the guards become your color. If that wouldn't be enough, you are now able to move that army right back into your area to save it forever.

Moreover, your army (if you do not modify it) will grow by 4 bone dragons/12 venom spawns/5 hydras/15 efreeti (randomly) for every opponent army you encounter with it...

2500 xp of free creatures for every fight you do.
Sounds fun :-)

fighting against creatures crowded in the garrison its too easy, you take your chances when attack you must be sure of your possibilities to win or better play roulette, or pay the price giving opponent the remaining army.
The scout thing , "checking" the joiners, i think it's a bit ... more childish, cause they represent 8% of initial army. So don't be extra "precautious" when is not necesarry.
i don't wanna completelly defend my ideas, but i think i analyzed all the options and i considered the best way FOR THIS script is the actual one.
I will consider the idea of removing script after first encouter , to not allow many joiners for free experience.

cmeptb, better check script first no matter which color would be the attacker the army change to opponent's color. to better clearify, if you will get to attack both (knowing your addiction to a demonic speed) you will have to fight both stacks.

Teach, don't get me wrong, if this was what you intended, it's perfectly ok. The unwary attacker pays an extremely big price (unless by some miracle he is able to defeat this army on the same turn or the opponent is a complete loser, he might as well just report there), but he'll sure learn from it :-)

It's the mapmaker's decision really. It's balanced and fair either way.

BTW, this is what I'd do.

First, I'd change the script so that it grows on encounter only if the opponent is blue or red.

Second, I'd place a counter on it and 1 day after ANY color change I'd remove the script.

This way you cannot hit and run it in your 1/2 turn (stack would keep growing). Your opponent would have 1/2 days shot on you with this army (you'd better disband your scouts ) OR he can safely move it home.

Possibly display a message (on attacking and/or on the army being victorious telling what's happening now) AND/OR include a sign close to the stack that it'd change alignment.

the script is fine as long as both players are aware of it.Now i realise most of you guys who post here will open the map and read all the scripts before playing,but i didnt,i never do.this may be foolish,but i dont see how it was "childish" to wanna check how big the army was so i would know when i would be able to attack it with  main. I didnt know joiners were just 8%,i only had one quick play through against the ai,and therefore needed reminding of how big entire army was,not just joiners.I just think a little heads-up in the map description would help.Cos if a player is unaware of it  the game will be lost.

I always play with map editor open and if needed I check it in opponent's turn.

 Yes ,i know many players do that sort of thing,and the fact that i cant be arsed with it is why i will never be high in the rankings.but i am sure i am not the only guy who just plays the map without studying it first.it doesnt matter to me either way,as i now know about the script and wont make the mistake again.but other players (not you big-hitters) will be crushed if unaware.

I prefer playing completely blind, but if my opponent is supposed to know the map, so should I. I don't like to start with a handicap.

If I play h4 multi again, you'll be my first preference as opponent. Should be a nice game, you don't really use editor and I like playing blind and do not know most of the maps.

yes, tenakha , youre right. a warning sign would be very appropriate, or maybe an event right in front of the creatures with a short description. i thought it wouldnt be necesarry cause of the helpfile i wrote, that comes along with the map, but maybe and extra hint will do good.
next update will include few adjustments and new minor things also.

i to never open map editor while in game unless i want to see where a portal goes or quests do
but never lay out my whole turn with it
i know some do it all the time thats why their turn takes so long
i try just to stay away from those

there is no reason ever why your turn should be over a half hour or even 20 minutes
you have 6 minutes on adventure map
then 14 minutes for battle is not enough lol?
got to remember there is another person on the other side wanting to play not waste a whole day playing 2 weeks
